Exactly. Its amazing that so many who either call themselves conservative/Republican/libertarian seem to be deniers of “freewill” which is acceptance of the core justification for socialism. Most are born with capability for sexual desire as well as many other drives but we have a choice to do the right thing or not. Denying that choice is dangerous because if you are going to justify being gay with genetics then you must justify adultery, molestation, and even murder. It is a very bad path we are on when we are basically saying you are doomed by your birth and can’t possibly choose a different path than that defined by your environment and genetics.

some people are born with the impulse to burn things down or murder people.

If they never ACT on those impulses or some would argue dwell on thinking about doing them, then they have committed no sin.

We are ALL born with various weaknesses, it is our job to overcome those weaknesses and live the way God has commanded us to.

Glutony is a sin... if you are born with a constant desire to eat to excess, then CONTROL yourself and eat modestly, and don’t sit around dreaming about all the food you could be eating either.

Coveting is a sin... if you are born with the nagging desire to always have more than your neighbor or have what he has, then CONTROL yourself and be content with what you have, and don’t sit around dreaming of what it must be like to be _________, be happy with yourself and what you have.

I could go on and on.

No one blames anyone for being born prone to sin, since we ALL are born that way, all that differs is what we have to struggle with.

Homosexuals obviously have to struggle with being attracted to others of the same sex. Fine. They just need to CONTROL themselves and don’t spend all their time dreaming about what it would be like to be with someone of the same sex and they will not have committed a sin.

It’s that easy.

In effect “Medical Doctor” Chris Christi is saying if a patient wants this therapy he will be denied this therapy because as a licensed physician he “knows better.”

Stupid Ass be Chris Christi, stupid ass and political charlatan. His desire for political power and pandering is directly proportional to his weight.

He is nothing but a political power hungry whore. My apologies to ladies of the night. They earn an honest living.

In each instance, the moral strength NOT to simply follow the predisposition is a sign of great intestinal fortitude and a supreme test of one’s worthiness as a human being.

Throw in karma and reincarnation, and you get to keep a loving God in your religious theory. Because it would mean that the difficulty of the struggle is related to past behavior that must be dealt with now. But without those dynamics, what's left?

What's left, is a God who makes person A, and person B, with no karma and no reincarnation. Person A has sexual feelings for the opposite sex, while person B has sexual feelings for the same sex, .

So person A knows that their sexual drive is so powerful that even within the bounds of heterosexual dating and marriage, they have sinned many times. But that their sexual drive is so powerful it could never be completely extinguished. Even when they have tried to remain non-sexual, they have failed, every time.

But person A is told to completely extinguish their sexual drive and never act on it - period.

Punishments?

Person A goes to purgatory, and then after a period of time, they go to heaven - forever.

Person B goes to hell, forever.

Which means that, for being unable to stop homosexual sexual urges during a lifetime of, say 80 years - the same strength urges that a heterosexual has - that after a million years of pure heaven, of love and laughter and discovery and pleasure, the heterosexual has an infinite amount of time ahead of them for the same joy, while after a million years in hell, a million years of screamin agony, terror, suffering and abject horror, the homosexual has an infinite amount of time of the same, endless suffering ahead of them.

All because of the difference between who they were sexually attracted to, for 80 years each, at the same level of sexual intensity, which the heterosexual admits they could never ignore themselves (towards the opposite sex).

M'kay.

I could even go along with this if you admitted the God of such a scenario was a psychopath.

But a LOVING God?

Maybe that's why Pope Francis recently said "who am I to judge"?

If one were to actually speak to someone who'd been under the bondage of that sin and tried every which way to turn loose, and then eventually to be delivered by Christ, you'd not be quite as casual talking about it. Self control is a gift of the Holy Spirit and it is granted along with God's purpose which is to be glorified in the creation. God allowed this "flat tire" to happen in their lives to signal that they should return to Him. Instead the feebly Christianized world usually advises them that they should make every worldly prideful religionistic effort to exert their will power. Nope, that won't work. One has to rest squarely on the love of the Lord which may actually seem to work LESS well than pride does at the start, but which will quickly grow to surpass what pride could ever do.

Most of the world errs in believing the Lord is LESS kind than He is. Not MORE. They don’t WANT to be forgiven. They’d sooner keep their pride, the legacy of the fall in the Garden.

The little secret of God is that divine forgiveness and divine love enables quicker and better repentance than all the religious schemes men have plastered over Him. God’s really fuming at a lot of the Christian world. It obscures His counsel to various degrees.

The way I first became aware of this phenomenal divine kindness, incidentally, is that I realized I didn’t owe agony offerings in my head when I had done something embarrassing or made a mistake. That realization spread, and then I realized that I needed to stop damning things. I did, and my vistas opened up further. Then I offered something to the Lord that had been an occasion of longstanding bad sin, but I asked Him to be glorified in it. It was a fight, but He honored my prayer and did not condemn me. Now things really started to open up for me. Really it plays out truly that “as you give, so it shall be given unto you.” Want to feel like you don’t have to give agony offerings? Don’t expect anyone else to give agony offerings. Want to not feel damned? Don’t damn. Want something with which you sinned not to trip you up any more? Dedicate it to the Lord and ask his blessing. Want to be blessed? Bless. Want to be glorified by the Lord? Glorify Him. It’s simple and it’s wonderful, now it also comes with spiritual fights, but when followed you WILL be headed forward towards heavenliness.

So is it now illegal for a gay teen to seek counseling? Seems to be rather autocratic to me, What is a teen requests help. Are they to be denied therapy? Talk about dumb.

Will it be illegal for a priest to hear confession from a repentant sinner too?

God never went on vacation here.

I think God is setting up to say something like, “Clergy and lay evangelists, WAKE UP! Minister My gospel with some moxie! Tell these folks to glorify Me again, sanctify Me in their bodies, and it’s through the DO’s not the DONT’s they get the power!”

Apparently the idea that homosexuality is a an abnormal and deviant sexual behavior must be abandoned; and homosexuality is merely a healthy, viable alternative to normal heterosexual behavior.
