I received a letter from the Veterans Administration today. The important paragraphs are:
"Enrollment in VA Health Care and the health care law coverage requirements.
You are enrolled in the VA health care system, which means you have health care coverage that meets the standards under the health care law.
How is my VA health care coverage affected?
Nothing in the health law changes your VA care benefits. You can continue to use VA for all of your health care needs or complement your VA care with private health insurance or coverage by other federal health care programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE.
I surely hope so.
Who the H-E-Double Toothpicks is broadcasting this?
Interesting. Even though I am a veteran, I can not use the VA facilities (even if I pay) as my income is above the line.
Obamacare might be an upgrade for veterans.
Begs the question;
What are the standards ?
BO went after Vet’s benefits in 2009 January. First order of business.
Lost the battle. Not done yet.
Anyone who thinks he holds Vets as sacred as Americans do is not in their right mind.
Why this vanity got posted, and who thought of posting it is beyond me.
Give these Vets a break. Low income Vets.
Give them a break.
BO would cut them off like a diplomat in Libya.
I have a financial plan that can fix that, but it also requires some lifestyle changes.
the standards are that you are paying for insurance for non working Dem voters.
The medical care itself is under the same watchdog organization that oversaw the Libya fiasco.
Why complicate it?
As it should be.
You’ve paid your dues, and then some (tunnel rat—I read your page).
Thank you for your service, Sir!

If VA care meets zerOcare standards, Odungocare really sucks.
I, for one, am very grateful to the American taxpayer for the medical care I get at the VA. True, the VA standards for when surgery is allowed are linked to the Medicare standards.
I recently had eye surgery which I paid for out of pocket at a civilian eye clinic. I needed the surgery but my vision had not yet deteriorated to the point that the VA was allowed to do the surgery under Medicare guidelines. Two ophthalmologists agreed that I needed the surgery and wanted to do it, but a third, very senior surgeon apologized and said that they would all be fired if they did do the surgery.
However, the VA has given me a triple bypass 10 years ago and three stents three years ago. I say, "Thank you, VA Hospital & staff and thank you, American taxpayer!"
Everyone will be effected by nobamacare as it undermines our country.
