Akin It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, its really rare. If its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down
This is exactly what I said he said that that you denied over and over claiming that the lib media made it up.
No, it isn't. You need to sharpen your reading skills.
Akin says: 1) "from what I understand from doctors,"
So he's not telling us what HE thinks. He is telling us what doctors told him.
So what's your problem with that?
If you don't agree with those doctors, that's your opinion. But if someone wants to quote what doctors said, then what's the problem with that?
2) "its really rare."
Yes, it is really rare. That is a fact. Pregnancy resulting from rape is in fact really rare.
You claimed that Todd Akin said that pregnancy from rape NEVER happens. He did not say that. Akin said it is rare -- and it is.
3) "If its a legitimate rape,"
Ask the Duke Lacrosse players about actual rape that really happened and false accusations. Ask the prosecutor who was disbarred for prosecuting the Duke Lacrosse players.
Are there real rapes and not real rapes? Of course.
4) "the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down
Todd Akin never said that either a woman can control it or that a woman NEVER gets pregnant when raped.
The quote above is true -- well mostly true. The body does not "TRY" to "shut the whole thing down." There is no INTENTION or intelligence about it.
However, severe stress or trauma -- for ANY reason -- does reduce ovulation. A woman who has suffered stress or trauma, which might include being raped, may experience a delay of ovulation.
Translation: (1) If a woman is not in the monthly fertile period (usually 3-5 days a month) then no pregnancy will result, (2) If sex occurs within 48 hours after ovulation occurred, then pregnancy may result, (3) if sex occurs within 48 hours BEFORE ovulation would naturally occur, then normally pregnancy could result. However, stress or trauma can suppress ovulation. Therefore, pregnancy is less likely to result from rape than from consensual sex.

‘From what I understand...”
Then he says stupid stuff.
And we are supposed to want losers like this on our front line jumping into tough political fights?
Stop promoting losing.
Instead train all GOP candidates on how to win their issues and not to help the (my anyway) enemy.
Your ridiculous apologetic explanations will mean nothing when you get us all put in concentration camps by electing Dems.
