These anti-white, anti-American hermaphrodites in “higher learning” are an offense to America.

Boone was a polarizing figure that did not reflect the growing diversity of the UD community...

Yeah, that must be why the hawk didn't work - the non-hawk community felt excluded.

Idiots.

“It was really about moving forward,” Theresa Mueller, a spokeswoman for the University of Denver, told FoxNews.com. “The students wanted a new mascot and didn’t want to look towards the past.”

Really? Then why aren't we hearing student voices instead of the usual PC administrator Newspeak?

The REAL Daniel Boone did not wear a coonskin cap!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Boone

Of course the real Daniel Boone would be even MORE “offensive” to the “human rightser” “diversity” crowd.

PHOOEY to them!!!!

“Boone was a polarizing figure that did not reflect the growing diversity of the UD community”

Assimilate or leave. You, the unassimilating, are the polarizing figures. Become American or leave.

Oh, gosh, does this mean the Hudson Valley Renegades must get rid of their mascot, too?

Oh, no it's a *gasp* raCOON. I'm surprised none of the PC "not sees" from nearby Vassar, Marist or SUNY New Paltz b*tched and complained....yet.

So...they want a mascot with no ties to the past that won’t offend anyone. How about a light gray plastic cube?

The Pioneers replaced their Daniel Boone mascot with a turkey.

My brother doubled-up in laughter when he saw that.

“Boone was a polarizing figure that did not reflect the growing diversity of the UD community, but rather was an image that many women, persons of color, international students and faculty members found difficult to relate to as defining the pioneering spirit,” Chancellor Robert Coombe said in a March letter to the school community.

Anything reminiscent of the founding of this country will be deemed offensive to the current generation of invaders and occupiers who want this land mass for themselves without the constraints of American past identity.

Their goal is to shame Americans into giving up their own national heritage, in order to make it easier for others to displace our culture and laws, and replace it with a new liberal Left identify.

The new mascot should be JOHN CHIVINGTON! He destroyed the pro-slavery Confederate advance into New Mexico at Glorietta Pass by doing what was thought impossible.

Then he thrashed hostile indians in Colorado.

THAT will get the leftists really screaming!

FTA:

The image of Denver Boone was originally designed by a Walt Disney artist and named by a UD student back in 1968 .

The cartoony figure, which sports a scruffy beard and a raccoon skin cap, is reminiscent of the Daniel Boone character from the 1950s TV show based on the real-life pioneer.

. . .

“Mythology and Fess Parker aside, it is well documented that Daniel Boone never wore a coonskin cap.

This author needs an editor who knows a little popular history. Fess Parker did not play Daniel Boone and the Disney series was not about Daniel Boone; it was about Davy Crockett, who was from TN.

In the settling of the American West, The guys wearing animal fur hats are what made it possible for the women to follow along later.

This is PC douchebaggery.

How was Boone polarizing? He explored the Cumberland Pass that opened up Kentucky, and eventually the west.

The coonskin hat was an invention of Disney when they selected Fess Parker to play the role on TV. Disney essentially converted Boone into Davey Crockett so that Parker could continue to play the character, if not the name, that he was so popular for.

And this from a private university that was originally established by religious people to educate others.

Sorry this one really angers me. Glad my mom and dad have already passed otherwise I would be planning two funerals. Expect two earthquakes in the Denver area any second now

Denver Boone: Bad

Washington Redskins: A-OK!

I suggest Frito Bandito would be more fitting for Denver these days.

I would recommend that University of Denver adopt as their mascot a rainbow-colored bunny.
