And I need your help. I need you to come out to make some phone calls to help ensure that there will be an LGBT friendly administration in the Governor's Mansion next year.

It's time for the LGBT community and its allies to flex a little gay muscle and demonstrate to politicians the importance of supporting equality. Virginia is still a place where saying things like, "Homosexuality brings nothing but self-destruction, not only physically but of their soul," will earn you votes.
I need you to come out next Wednesday and prove that the LGBT community will stand by candidates who stand by them!

Well at least they did have some truth in their blurb
What does celebrating dysfunction have to do with "equality?" Would that some people had the ability to see themselves with just a tid bit of objectivity.
I am not trying to be mean spirited. But even in far off Ohio, we can appreciate the "delight" that traditional Virginians will experience, when they get a call from the LGBT phone bank on this.
Seriously, as an admirer of the proud traditions of the Old Dominion, since I was a school boy, I do not really find this all that amusing. But it helps to make the sadness almost bearable. And maybe this will prove a wakeup call to those who do not want to face how far we have all fallen.
