According to the Field Poll of voters, Californians uniquely remain highly supportive by a 53% to 38% margin of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, referred to as Obamacare. Nationwide polling indicates that by a large margin, Americans strongly oppose Obamacare by 54% to 36%. But with one out nine voters in the United States living in California, the Golden State is almost single-handedly preventing Obamacare’s repeal.

California is big enough to be a nation by itself, and they are constitutionally permitted to have Obamacare or even single payer health care (at the state level) should they want it. It’s called federalism, and it’s OK for states to do their own thing. What’s NOT right is for Californians to demand that all the other states do what California wants. They have no moral or constitutional right to tell other states what to do, but that, of course, doesn’t stop them.

Has the average I.Q. in California hit a negative number yet? They’ve accepted way too many illegals.

You nailed it! Anything that is “free” to them will have 100% support. There is no way an honest poll can be taken in California!

California Voters Preventing ObamaCare Repeal

Just check on the number of welfare recipients, "disability," rent subsidies and "unemployed" in California, and it all makes sense.

The unlimited deficit spending of California will make the crash of Detroit look like chump change.
Taxing businesses directly (and consumers indirectly) also has its limits.
Large businesses fleeing California will trigger the ultimate reckoning.

Just 53% of us.

from the poll

While the law is supported greater than two to one among voters in Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Bay Area, pluralities in the state’s other regions are opposed. The poll also finds differences in opinions by race/ethnicity and age, with ethnic voters and the young highly supportive, while non-Hispanics and seniors are more divided.

Bloody hell! Most polls are conducted in such liberal enclaves as San Fran (Frisky City), Berkely (Bezerkaly), and Los Angeles (New Atzlan). Divide the state into four parts where the major cities are grouped into one, then NorCal, Central Valley, and the outlying southern border counties in the state are in the rest, and watch how different those “unbiased” polls turn out to be!

California wants the Feds to fund their exchanges. California Healthcare laws make the Federal law look good in comparasion.

California is going to penalize any business that reduces hours to bypass the Federal mandate, and is going to require businesses to give any full time employee healthcare, regardless of the number of employees employed at that business.

Thanks for referencing that article Texas Eagle. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed against Mr. Street, the author of the article, and not you.

It could be because it’s the end of a long day, but California’s numbers concerning its support for Obamacare don’t impress me. In fact, one very important thing that Mr. Street has overlooked concerning support for Obamacare is the following.

California is just one state out of 50, the Constitution’s Article V now requiring 38 states to ratify an amendment to the Constitution which would grant Congress the specific power that it actually needs to establish Obamacare.

In other words, Congress and Obama wrongly ignored securing the constitutionally required consent of the Article V supermajority when they established Obamacare.

I went to LA for a week. Stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Went to Beverly Hills and had a $24 bacon cheeseburger at the Hard Rock. Went to Venice Beach and observed some really strange people doing really strange things. Sat in traffic most of the week. Couldn't wait to leave.

A year later I went to San Francisco for a week. Stayed at the Ritz Carlton on Nob (Knob?) Hill. All was well until I was waiting at a corner for the light to change and this fellow walked up and had a perfectly lucid, very loud, and nearly violent argument...with himself.

I never looked back.

Well, those suckers will probably get what they’ve been voting for. Good and hard, too.

So 53/38 is the ratio of takers to makers in California. No wonder it is in the shape it’s in.
