This is how you fight the Taliban. Go on the offensive, and fight them at night when they are at the disadvantage. Right now, we sit and wait to be attacked. This is stupid!
That's got leave a dinner-plate bruise.
Body armor can stop 7.62 AK rounds at short range ?
News to me. Thats either very heavy or very high tech.
Doing what Obungo won't let the American military do!

Ouch. Prayers up for the warrior. That's gonna leave a bruise.

The article didn’t say at close range. It’s unknown how far away the shooter was. He might have been some distance away.
Must have had a ceramic plate.
Good for one stop as it shatters.
Jolly good lads!
Crack on!
Body armor stopped a 7.62mm round?
Wow. Lucky boy. I hope he gets thoroughly checked out by the med guys for internal injuries.
Armor doesn’t usually stop a rifle round.
Hmm...getting into a short-range shootout with the SAS is not a career-enhancing move. I don’t think my insurance even covers it.
I don’t think stopping an AK-47 round is all that difficult now.
A few years ago a local went crazy shooting at anyone he saw with an SKS. He shot the local police chief in the chest but his vest stopped the bullet.
WHO DARES WINS!
Body armor, night vision, air support, and taking the initiative put the Taliban on the run.
Level III will do it.
If it was an AP rd or 30.06 or 7.62 x 51 (.308) he may not be here.
Need Level IV for better protection.
Mess with the best, die with the rest.
I remember those ceramic plate vests..really heavy sob`s...
I`d say congrats to those bad @ss SAS troops for a great
job taking out those killers
