According to court documents filed in Savannah, Ga., all claims against the TV chef have been dismissed in the suit brought by former restaurant manager Lisa Jackson, with no award of costs or fees to any party. Jackson had sued on the grounds that the work environment at Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, owned by Deen and her brother, subjected employees to sexual harassment and racial discrimination.
The news comes two weeks after a federal judge threw out the lawsuit's race discrimination claims, stating that though others may have faced that discrimination in the restaurant, Jackson could not sue since she was not one of the victims. Friday's agreement was filed with prejudice, which means Jackson cannot refile the lawsuit.

My honest feelings are more along the lines of schaudenfreud.
The Paula Deen thing for me was like this girl I knew in school who hung with the people who made my life hell and then one day they made HER life hell. True, she hadn’t done anything to me personally but at the same time I didn’t care that they turned on her.
This year I saw a movie on TV where a human had betrayed humanity to some alien. The alien says to the human, “Did you think that by helping us we’d hate you any less?”
And then the alien killed the human.
That’s what’s on my mind with Paula Deen.
And I’ve never thought ‘Screw her’ because she screwed herself by picking the wrong friends.

Reading between the lines this was an out of court settlement. Dean paid Jackson so she would dismiss the case and release any claims.
Paula was an Obama supporter, right? I think it would be great if she COUNTER SUED the racist who brought the suit, but at this point WHO CARES?
