Gun control extremists to attack Starbucks Saturday
Voice of Russia ^ | August 22, 2013 | Staff

Irritated by Starbucks’ decision to remain neutral and not ban lawful carry, anti-Second Amendment organizations in North Carolina have developed plans to boycott the chain this Saturday. Dubbing their misguided effort “Skip Starbuck’s Saturday” antis hope to punish the brand nationwide.

“As North Carolina’s HB 937 is implemented, it will become increasingly important for us to clearly stand behind restaurants who do not interfere with expanded carry under state law,” - the Ammoland.com resource stated, which is, as the site name clearly indicates, the advocate of the Second Amendment.

They also claimed that they needed to show that North Carolina gun owners highly appreciate the restaurants’ support and that by doing so, restaurants had put themselves in a winning position commercially.

Here are some non-menu drinks available at many Starbucks, though participation, and the names they give them varies, so if you want something complicated, be sure to write down what’s in it. And give a good tip for the extra labor.

Zebra Mocha (combination of white-chocolate and chocolate mocha)

Red-Tux aka Bleeding Penguin (Mocha w/raspberry flavoring)

Chocolate Dalmatian (java chips and chocolate chips to a white chocolate mocha)

Raspberry Cheesecake (white chocolate mocha is added with a few shots of raspberry. Whipped cream and vanilla sprinkles are optional)

Nutella (Cafe Misto with a shot of both chocolate and hazelnut syrup, along with a real drop of caramel)

Three C’s (Cinnamon Dolce latte + Caramel syrup + Chocolate mocha syrup)

Short Cappuccino (Italian style. Less milk and a stronger flavor)

Cafe au Lait (Misto without foam)

Marble Mocha Macchiato (White mocha on the bottom with no whip, shot on the top and mocha drizzle)

Short Drink (Just a small coffee)

Cheapo (A double shot of espresso on ice with few packs of brown sugar)

The Dirty Hippy (Chai Tea Latte with soy instead of regular milk)

Dirty Chai (Chai latte (hot or iced) with a shot of espresso)
Double Dirty or Extra Dirty (two shots)

Widow Maker (Half iced black tea, half iced black coffee)

London Fog (Earl Grey tea w/vanilla flavoring)

Poor Man’s Latte (An Iced Americano with no water and half ice and then add the half and half available at the milk and condiments table)

Poor Man’s Chai Latte (Chai Tea Misto with extra foam, two tea bags and half cinnamon-half vanilla syrup)

Apple Juice Orange Blossom (Tazo Orange Blossom Tea steeped in steamed apple juice with no water)

Red Eye (Coffee plus 1 shot of espresso)
Black Eye (Coffee plus 2 shots of espresso)
Green Eye (Coffee plus 3 shots of espresso)

French Pressed Coffee (any coffee)(highly recommended)

Frappuccinos:

Affogato-Style (Order any Frappe “affogato-style” and you’ll get a shot of hot espresso added on top of your drink as opposed to having it blended in)
Banana Cream Pie (Vanilla Bean creme with vanilla and hazelnut syrups, whipped cream, and a whole banana)
Biscotti
Cake Batter
Captain Crunch (hazelnut or toffee nut syrup in a Strawberries and Creme)
Chocolate Cream
Cinnamon Roll
Cookies & Cream
Crunch Berry
Grasshopper (Mocha with java chips and peppermint syrup)
Samoa (mocha coconut with caramel drizzle
Snickers (Java Chip with two pumps of toffee nut and a caramel drizzle)
Super Cream
Thin Mint (Tazo Green Tea Creme with chocolate syrup and java chips)

What I noticed was how straightforward the article was, other than the headline ridicule of the gun grabbers (first time ever).

I would really like bylines so I could find out more about some of these reporters, they sound normal.

Simply a nefarious plot by the libs to trick us into wasting our money on grossly overpriced drinks that we wouldn’t have bought otherwise.

Darn...guess I gotta buy a $5 cup of coffee this weekend.

Coincidentally, I already did, yesterday morning, first time in months, and made it Starbucks precisely because I remembered their policy from FR.

I got off for $3.75 each, me and Mrs. Patriot.

I love the names but still just get regular coffee with the half and half and splenda at the table. The Americana is the same and costs twice as much.

A medium coffee is about $1.95......the prices are not as inflated as people claim.

I tried the French pressed, and not being much of a coffee drinker I thought it tasted pretty much the same, but I had never seen coffee made that way.

By the way, I used to use artificial sweetener, but found a flavorful real sweetener that is worth a few calories: sorghum syrup.

It is somewhat like molasses, but less sweet. With a little butter it has a butterscotch taste. It’s a whole lot less expensive than maple syrup. Good in coffee.

If your local charbucks has a clover machine, one of their ‘blond’ roasts (un-charbucks light roast) is a real treat. The machine (they cost CB 40k a shot) is an automated cross between a press down and a vacuum pot. Great cup o Joe.

Keep her thunb-break snapped and that powder dry.

Neither, I almost never go there, but when I do it’s for a gun rights protest. So why not make it a little special for you and them?
