On top of that, an ever increasing number of the residents of Manhattan, especially, are foreign and accustomed to having bodyguards. What a cottage industry to spring up. There was a guy who a friend of mine knew. In his high school graduating class circa 1981. A bunch of them went to college and some of them went to work. He went to work for the New York City sanitation department. They all laughed at him.
