WHERE DID SYRIA’S CHEMICAL WEAPONS COME FROM?
Breitbart ^ | 14 Jul 2012 | Frank Salvato

As the news stories mount regarding Syrian President Bashar al Assad’s decision to move his chemical weapons stockpile from storage to areas closer to rebel locations, there is one thing the mainstream media is not commenting on: How Syria acquired what is reported to be one of the world’s largest arsenals of bio-chemical WMD? More to the point, what they are not reporting is this: From where did the Assad regime acquire their bio-chemical WMD?

In 2006, former Iraqi general, Georges Sada, who served under Saddam Hussein before he defected, wrote a comprehensive book detailing how the Iraqi Revolutionary Guard moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria, before the US-led action to eliminate Saddam Hussein’s WMD threat, by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.

As reported in the New York Sun on January 26, 2006: “‘There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands,’ Mr. Sada said. ‘I am confident they were taken over.’”

“Mr. Sada’s comments come just more than a month after Israel’s top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam ‘transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria.’

“Democrats have made the absence of stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq a theme in their criticism of the Bush administration’s decision to go to war in 2003...

“The discovery of the weapons in Syria could alter the American political debate on the Iraq war. And even the accusations that they are there could step up international pressure on the government in Damascus.

That government, led by Bashar Assad, is already facing a UN investigation over its alleged role in the assassination of a former prime minister of Lebanon.

...and who was it in congress that worked to stall the invasion of Iraq while trucks were moving across the border night and day?

I am not a chemist, but don’t these things have a shelf life? I believe they degrade with time.

I am sure there is a FReeper that can answer this question.

IF(big if), they did ship Saddam’s WMD’s into Syria, would not their useful time period already expired?

Impossible. We all know whatever weapons Hussein may have had were degraded. The MSM said so repeatedly over the last decade.

Much more relevant than where they came from (pick your source: Benghazi, Iraq, Syrian labs, etc), MUCH MORE relevant... is who had them at the time of use. The bad guys can play the game of musical WMDs till the cows come home, but what is important is who had them at the time of any alleged gassing.

When the music last stopped, the Syrian Rebels were holding onto those WMDs.

Right, it’s obvious. While we dithered with France at the UN and while the UN inspectors rode around in their WHITE vehicles and BLUE helmets in a BROWN desert, the chemical weapons were moved to other countries.

Or they were simply buried in the sand. In glass or plastic containers, they wouldn’t be found.

It’s the desert. We knew where Babylon was but didn’t find it for 6,000 years.

I would think that the “Me and my brother against the world’ credo of the muslims applies. I would bet that all these warring factions have fed each other all manner of weaponry in the weal times’.

Binary weapons keep the components separate until the shell is fired and begins to mix the precursors while in flight. The quality of the initial ingredients is the key to how long they would remain at full potency.

I’m not trying to detract from the thread, but do we have sources for the pictures posted?

Everything has become suspect to me in light of today’s media.

The Rebels told the UN Weapons Inspector that the evidence was destroyed by Syrian Artillery. Bodies are missing too. How convenient.

I think the bigger question is: Why would he gas 100 people and why would the rebels send snipers against the UN investigators who were going to back them up?

WHERE DID SYRIA’S CHEMICAL WEAPONS COME FROM?

CHENEY FIGHTS BACK

And the suggestion that’s been made by some U. S. senators that the President of the United States or any member of this Administration purposely misled the American people on pre-war intelligence is one of the most dishonest and reprehensible charges ever aired in this city...

Some of the most irresponsible comments have, of course, come from politicians who actually voted in favor of authorizing force against Saddam Hussein. These are elected officials who had access to the intelligence, and were free to draw their own conclusions.

The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone – but we’re not going to sit by and let them rewrite history.

Not 100, make it over 10 times that.

I did not include the sarc tag, believing the MSM jab made it obvious. What bothered me most at the time was only Shaw was saying anything about the movement of weapons/material from Iraq.

It's criminal this wasn't covered more extensively, leading the public to believe the admin was lying and those that discussed or believed the reports were "kooks" and "conspiracy theorists."
