Obama administration covers up missile theft
Jewish World Review ^ | August 26 | Jack Kelly

The Obama administration is covering up the theft of 400 surface to air missiles by "some very ugly people," the lawyer for a Benghazi whistleblower told WMAL Radio in Washington D.C. last week.

Joe DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, represents Mark Thompson, who was Deputy Coordinator for Operations in the State Department's Bureau of Counterterrorism.

He was referring to MANPADS (man portable air defense systems) such as the American Stinger or the Russian SA-24. They're now in the hands of al Qaida, Mr. DiGenova said.

The theft was the reason why the administration shut down 22 diplomatic missions, he said.

"They were afraid that there was going to be a missile attack on one of the embassies," Mr. DiGenova said.

Fear that U.S. troops coming to the rescue might be shot down may also be why no help was sent during the seven hour siege of our consulate in Benghazi and its annex on 9/11/2012, he said.

"We had troops in Croatia ready to deploy," Mr. DiGenova said.

I know this has benn reported before, but I thought this was a pretty good analysis. Especially of the actions of the "most transparent administration."

It was not "theft" they were given to the Al Qaeda affiliates by the Obozo Administration, on the orders of Obozo.

By stolen they mean “left where Obama’s muzzie friends could find them and taken without explicit permission.” Stevens was killed trying to retrieve them once Bambi realized it might not be good to get caught giving surface to air missiles to Al Qaida.

The saddest part is that if one of these missiles was used the media would cover for him, and his constituancy would not care one way or another.

“The CIA was against giving missiles to insurgents for fear they would fall into the wrong hands, but Secretary Clinton wanted “to overthrow Khadafy on the cheap,” one of his sources told him, Mr. Simon said.”

I guess we now know: “What difference does it make?”

That makes no sense at all. They are made to guide on the infrared signature of an aircraft, not to be fired at buildings so they might or might not hit an embassy building if fired at it. Their warheads aren't all that big (5-6 pounds for an SA-24 or Stinger) which is of similar size of an RPG-7 rocket propelled grenade which seem ubiquitous in the Middle East.

Theft? Is that the new “progressive” code word for “we gave them to them”?

Like Fast and Furious was when Mexican drug cartels stole guns and grenades from US State Department agents?

That’s what I thought, but I’m not an expert. If this is the “admitted cover up” what are they really covering up?

Interesting article, for sure.

Obama administration covers up missile theft GIVEAWAY TO AL QUEDA

With the facts about Benghazi leaking out, the 0bam,a regime is now pretending that they were investigating "theft" of missiles, when they were actually running a Fast and Furious operation to supply 0bama's muzzie bros.

It's a miracle there hasn't been an airliner shot down yet, but it is just a matter of time.

Not one person from the second building has been seen in public? Nobody has quit the intel service? We can’t see any of the 40 from the second building? Has that ever happened before? Maybe we’re paying ransom.

The “theft” was the same as when AQ walked into that unguarded ammo warehouse and leared it out. The only question now is did the ammo just happen to fit the missiles?

It might well have been a real theft, but who is to say these thieves were anymore worthy of US trust as the originally intended end-users..?

THERE WERE ABOUT 15,000 OTHER MISSILES FLOATING AROUND, BTW...

To use MANPADS to attack a building or ANY ground-based, stationary target not only EXTREMELY rare, but illogical —the whole Middle-East is awash in RPG knock-offs that cost $50-$150 and would be much better suited for that purpose.

Any MANPADS —even a cheap old Chinese model— is maybe 100x more expensive and would be wasted. Much better use of MANPADS would be to shoot-down Embassy helicopter evac or supply runs.

My guess is the lawyer suggested the “attack Embassies with MANPADS”-angle in order to keep his client’s plight in the most current news.
