Nation Under Arrest? Oil Exec Charged in Duck Deaths
CBN ^ | Tuesday, August 27, 2013 | Paul Strand

AUSTIN, Texas -- If your cat killed a bird or one flew into a wall of your house and died, you'd be mighty surprised if a federal prosecutor showed up and said he was putting you in jail for that.

That's basically what an Austin-based businessman faced over two dead ducks who met their demise hundreds of miles from him in North Dakota.

Drill sites contain waste pools next to them, and sometimes, birds land in them and drown. Oilman Bud Brigham, head of Brigham Resources, found out a federal prosecutor was on the lookout for such incidents.

"A Justice Department appointee apparently chartered a helicopter to go search for this," Brigham told CBN News, "and flew around to all the different well sites in western North Dakota."

That's where oilmen like Brigham have kicked off an economic boom, going after the oil in the Bakken formation.

Why don’t they go after the wind generators? They kill hundreds of thousands of birds, including 10’s of thousands of raptors. The Zero regulators ignore these violators.

Wow, two ducks. Did they happen to fly near any windmill farms and count the number of dead birds around them?

haven’t heard of them doing this to the providers of wind energy and all of the birds killed by their turbines (not holding breath)

But wind turbine operators can kill as many bald eagles as they please.

Ain't selective enforcement of the law grand?

And it’s not like ducks are endangered.

Any person “they” want to throw in jail is breaking some law.

“Windmills Are Killing Our Birds: One standard for oil companies, another for green energy sources.”
On Aug. 13, ExxonMobil pleaded guilty in federal court to killing 85 birds that had come into contact with crude oil or other pollutants in uncovered tanks or waste-water facilities on its properties. The birds were protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which dates back to 1918. The company agreed to pay $600,000 in fines and fees.
Michael Fry of the American Bird Conservancy estimates that U.S. wind turbines kill between 75,000 and 275,000 birds per year. Yet the Justice Department is not bringing cases against wind companies.

“Somebody has given the wind industry a get-out-of-jail-free card,” Mr. Fry told me. “If there were even one prosecution,” he added, the wind industry would be forced to take the issue seriously.

Why don’t we go after the damn fools from the injustice department who did this. One was described as an “apointee”. Now who could that fool be?

How many abuses of power will we submit to?

Including you and me.

Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.

There are so many laws estimates are that each of us commits at least three felonies a day.

The bankrupting of the coal industry is moving ahead. Now it’s time to go to North Dakota and try to kill the oil business.

There are so many “laws”, everyone breaks one or more each time they do anything, anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

Texas Judge Hovland for the U.S. Supreme Court!

He actually uses common sense and renders an opinion logically.

Give credit where it is due though, the Federal Judge promptly threw the case out.

Oh-oh my cat killed a bird, I think it was a sparrow. What was left of it went into the trash... I guess I should expect a knock at the door from one of Obama’s enforcers...
