Nation Under Arrest? Oil Exec Charged in Duck Deaths
CBN ^ | Tuesday, August 27, 2013 | Paul Strand

AUSTIN, Texas -- If your cat killed a bird or one flew into a wall of your house and died, you'd be mighty surprised if a federal prosecutor showed up and said he was putting you in jail for that.

That's basically what an Austin-based businessman faced over two dead ducks who met their demise hundreds of miles from him in North Dakota.

Drill sites contain waste pools next to them, and sometimes, birds land in them and drown. Oilman Bud Brigham, head of Brigham Resources, found out a federal prosecutor was on the lookout for such incidents.

"A Justice Department appointee apparently chartered a helicopter to go search for this," Brigham told CBN News, "and flew around to all the different well sites in western North Dakota."

That's where oilmen like Brigham have kicked off an economic boom, going after the oil in the Bakken formation.

Why don’t they go after the wind generators? They kill hundreds of thousands of birds, including 10’s of thousands of raptors. The Zero regulators ignore these violators.

Wind power is a protected enterprise - oil is not. Crony capitalism, comrade, crony capitalism.

I’ve said many times the Baraqqis need to hire a corps to harvest the shredded poultry downstream to feed to America’s “starving millions”.

Meanwhile on the local radio news, I was hearing how they’ve picked up 7,000 dead ducks in the local wildlife refuge / marshland who died from botulism in the last couple of weeks. Can’t find a link.

Won’t happen. They are already going after food banks and places where hunters have donated meats to feed the hungry. The food banks because they were not licensed and inspected to provide foods to the public as restaurants are, or because they were not putting out a nutritionally and cholesterol-free selection such as moochele has mandated, or in the case where hunters and ranchers have donated meats because the foodstuffs provided had not been passed through a licensed and certified USDA Food Inspector and approved for public consumption. Like Tofurky or wheat grass even.

Yes, that is absurd. However, in my former career, I worked in the oil-well drilling industry. I saw first-hand the way some of my former employers engaged in outrageous disregard of their responsibilities with respect to the environment. On my first day in the oil patch, I was told to get rid of a couple of dozen half-full 5-gallon cans of lead-based paint. The order was given to throw them overboard! On another job, the rig I worked on moved to another state. I had the occasion to visit the old location a couple of months later. There was trash all over and I saw a deer that had walked into the waste pit, got stuck and died there. I was pretty ashamed of my occupation at that point. So bottom line is, yes this seems petty, but there are real issues associated with energy production that shouldn’t be shrugged off. FWIW

>>>Oh-oh my cat killed a bird, I think it was a sparrow. What was left of it went into the trash... I guess I should expect a knock at the door from one of Obama’s enforcers...

Wasn’t there a lady in Britain who campaigned to eliminate sparrows because she said they carried disease?

Then there was Chairman Mao who went after sparrows in his campaign against 4 pests: “rats, flies, mosquitoes, and sparrows. The extermination of the last upset the ecological balance, and enabled crop-eating insects to proliferate.” See Wikipedia’s entry for “Four Pests Campaign.

When will all those windmill owners be prosecuted for all the protected birds that are getting killed flying into the darned monstrosities?

Actually, your post is not that far from the truth -in a similar vein. If you have any vehicle registered in your name, the government will garnish your wages to pay for their registration if you do not get them registered by the due date.

Of course, they also say that you can not "legally" register as owned any vehicle if you do not have a Driver's Licence, even if you only intend to use it (them) on your own property. They WILL impound it if you do not comply.

Nothing to see here, just a sub-par government lawyer finding a way to squeeze money out it’s subjects. If they fight it in court then even more lawyers will get even more money. We are owned by a lawyerstocracy.

They would but there is too much of a chance that they would fly their helicopter into the wind turbine .... you’re not dealing with even average intelligence here.
