And you're calling ME nuts?

Where did I call you nuts?

You are stark raving barking mad.

When do God Given Natural Rights vest?

If Natural Born Citizenship is a God given Natural Right (as some have argued) then would you not obtain that right by virtue of being alive? At what point in a woman's pregnancy does a fetus obtain natural rights?

Do they vest at the time that God puts life into you or only if you make it out of the womb alive?

The amount of ignorance and insanity about what is a NBC is too much on FR.

And then pulling FMD as daddy is the cherry on the cake.

You’re not worth a millisecond of my time.

There was a TV movie back in the early 80s, about Joe McCarthy, called “Tail-Gunner Joe.” John Forsythe played a fictional, intrepid reporter, gathering dirt on McCarthy.

A review I read at the time (I think in National Review), commented on a scene where the receptionist in McCarthy’s office is telling a cow orker about a car she wants, and she says, “I think I can Jew him down a little.” Forsythe the reporter makes a leering face and repeats the line under his breath.

At this point, the reviewer identified this as a “factoid,” and explained its meaning.

BTW: The bullet on the gurney in “JFK” was a “factoid.”

I brought up a point that pro-life Birthers should consider. TED CRUZ WAS CONCEIVED ON AMERICAN SOIL!

What makes you think that?
Rafael Bienvenido Cruz lived in Canada for 8 years and Rafael Edward Cruz was born in the middle of that time period in Calgary, Canada.

Birther /börthör/ n1. A person who exhibits the audacity to read the U.S. Constitution, and then demands that his/her government actually obeys it.  2. A derogatory term developed and used by Leftists and Neo-Cons in a lame attempt to marginalize those who harbor the silly notions that Truth matters, and that Republics perish who refuse to uphold the Rule of Law.

Cool.

Cruz is one of the two Conservatives who might just be able to save the country.

YES! Anybody posting here who doesn’t see what Cruz is, our ANTIDOTE, who is ‘concerned’ by Cruz needs to GO.

He wasn’t aware that he had Canadian citizenship.

I'm not surprised, given he never thought of himself as anything other than a US citizen.

Thank you! The knee-capping of Cruz needs to stop. I, for one, am sick to death of it. Fools trying to destroy what appears to be our best chance at saving this Country. Bless you.

What I think and believe is relevant to me and perhaps to others who have commented. To you what I think and believe is not relevant and so be it; neither you or I make up the universe.

No, what you think and believe is not relevant because it's not based on anything but opinion. There is nothing in the Constitution the defines "natural born citizen" in that fashion. There is nothing in U.S. Code that defines "natural born citizen" in that fashion. The only USSC case that touched on the issue (regarding Chester A. Arthur, if I recall correctly) equates "natural born citizen" with "citizen at birth".

You're perfectly free to think and believe whatever you like, but that doesn't change what the law does (or doesn't) say.

he would still be a NBC because his genetic father was obviously Frank Marshall Davis who was a Citizen.

Jim, Cruz is the strongest Republican in the Senate, no question.

How can such a man be eligible to be natural born if:

He was born on Canadian soil, thus he is a Canadian citizen under their laws.

He was born to an American mother, thus he is an American under American law.

He was born to a Cuban father, thus he is a Cuban citizen under Cuban law.

He has three citizen ships, so which one prevails?

American, just because we say so?

Because we are so desperate for leadership?

The
Constitution makes a distinction between “citizen” and “natural born citizen”.

I have not seen one cogent argument that equates the two.

If we and this site are purposed to uphold Constitutional principles, we have to accept that Ted Cruz may not be eligible.

The Dems will not hesitate to rocket his case to the
Supreme Court for a ruling on his eligibility.

And unless I miss my guess, Cruz is a man of honor and would not run with his pedigree.

And if that gets me kicked off of here after 15 years, so be it.

Are you saying/contending that the Constitution does not give two different call outs as to ‘citizen’ and ‘natural born citizen’. Also, it is somewhat off track of a good debate to have one person telling another that something is not personally relevant to that other person. Reminds me of thought police.

I suppose you have the DNA proof of paternity?

Hell, we know nothing about Obama. Nobody knows for certain and Obaa bears no resemblance to the pictures of his so called Father. I am sure that if any court had determined that Obama had been born in Kenya, that Obama himself would have played the Frank Marshall Davis card.

Do you doubt that? And if he had to, do you doubt that he would have been able to forge the necessary DNA

Frankly the whole NBC thing is a distraction anyway. The only body constitutionally authorized to declare a candidate as ineligible is Congress. They have the authority to decertify the election results and if they Certify the election, then courts are obligated to take judicial notice that Congress did not make any determination that the President was not eligible

So if you think Ted Cruz would make the best president, even if you have doubts about whether he is eligible under the murky and vague NBC clause, then thumb your noses at the Cruz haters, vote for him in the primary and the general, and then if Congress declares him ineligible, then Vice President Palin can appoint him to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. ;-)

I, for one, am confident that Ted Cruz is a Natural Born Citizen. There is not a single court that will take up the issue, there is not a single court that will rule be is ineligible, and there is not a snowball’s chance in Hell that congress would refuse to certify the election.

Norm is a liar and slanderer (along with being a bit mentally low) who then has the nerve to chide others for as having no principles.

Bang that drum proudly.
