Washtenaw County officials are working out the details of a new program that could put county-issued ID cards in the hands of unauthorized immigrants.
"We are working with the clerk's office to make that happen. This could be big for us," County Board Chairman Yousef Rabhi, D-Ann Arbor, said Wednesday night during a panel discussion on immigration reform at the University of Michigan.
"We're kind of tired of waiting on the state, we're tired of waiting on the federal government, and we're looking at actions that we can take right here in Washtenaw County to change the way things are going — especially for immigrants," he said.
"Congress came close to passing a reform bill in 2007, but it just couldn't get it done," said U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn. "We appear to be in a somewhat similar situation today."

If an unauthorized immigrant is pulled over for speeding in the future and is able to show a Washtenaw County ID, Rabhi said, that person wouldn't necessarily be detained. "Because they'd be able to provide proof that they are, in fact, a resident of Washtenaw County, and say, 'This is who I am and here's my picture,' " he said.
In other words is his saying this id card will be considered a document to legally drive without a state drivers license /no insurance..? The Michigan Department of State was required by federal officials earlier this year to begin issuing driver's licenses to DACA — or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — participants.
Odered by the feds ?........This guy.."With immigration reform passing, I could finally get a bank loan, I could get federal aid," he said. "I can't sign up for FAFSA right now."
AnnArbor.com reported earlier this year that Contreras and his brother, Jose, have two-year full-ride scholarships to Washtenaw Community College.

Sure. Why not? Being American has no special meaning any more. Everybody can be American. Just walk right in. Wonderful benefits and privileges! American citizens don’t have them, and are more than happy to work 3 jobs to pay for your benefits!
Why should anyone obey any law when Obama and his liberal ilk just do as they wish without any care they are violating Federal Law and the US Constitution?

The day after the election the DREAMers protested the secretary of state for refusing to give them driver’s licenses. One of their complaints was that not having a state issued ID made them feel singled out while voting.
The SOS Ruth Johnson told them that it was illegal for them to vote in the first place and Obama created their twisted status and they should take it up with him because she wasn’t giving them licenses till they had a legitimate status.
County issued IDs do not provide driving privileges, at least not legitimate ones. Driver’s licenses are issued by the states and recognized by the states.

It’s really strange isn’t it. The Communist DemocRAT Pahtay say that it’s “rasis” to make “dem po folks” who are U.S. citizens get a Voter I.D. card, but ‘RAT politicians are running around all over the country issuing I.D. cards to illegal alien lawbreakers. Lying hypocrites.
THIS CAN BE STOPPED---SUGGESTED LEGAL ACTION:
1. The IRS and SEC should be notified---since tax-exempt muni bond revenue is apparently being used for illegal purposes.
2. Individuals holding muni bonds should sue---for misrepresenting to investors the use of tax-exempt bond revenue.
3. The US State Dept should be alerted---falsifying govt documents is a felony and could involve forgery. NOT The US State Dept would not accept visas from a NJ County Clerk's office b/c of rampant falsifications.
4. The citizenry should alert L/E of govt officials using tax-financed govt offices for illegal purposes.
5. If tax-exempt education money is being used for illegals---the IRS and SEC should be alerted. L/E would consider this a felony.

He implies like not to worry they will not arrest you for no drivers license/insuance and you are speeding..If I was speeding,no license/insurance..I’d be taken downtown..they would not care where I am from.He should not be making comments like this in a public debate.It sends the wrong message
“Immigrants” are invited to live in this Country, “Invaders” are not.
It tells me that he wants people to get arrested so he can use it as a political issue.
