I didn’t know that.
I live here and only learned of it yesterday. GZ’s lawyer filed for the state to pay 200k of his 300k in legal fees. Apparently there are rules around it but the rest should be covered too.
Still he hasnt been able to work. His finances have to be a mess.
And a misdemeanor is not a felony, the latter of which would come into play in terms of gun laws.
Well that’s good to know. That bit of information may just save their marriage.
So much for all the bull crap we heard yesterday about civil rights. George Zimmerman is just a regular guy with no money who never sought public notice. But because he offended the “civil rights establishment” they will crush him and ruin his life. I have no respect for them; they are hypocrites.
Regardless of the status of their marriage, he has to move out pronto. The state knows her address, she can’t move without telling them, and George cannot have a gun as long as he lives with her.

Yesterday’s speeches were meaningless anyway because they wouldn’t allow Clarence Thomas or Tim Scott, the only black Senator to speak.

They may pay part of it but only a small part.
His lawyer is only asking for a maximum of $300,000 out of a bill that exceeds a $million and of that they are likely to get less than $50,000 if that.
They are not asking for O'Mara's/West's lawyer services which are substantial since the state of Florida doesn't pay the lawyers' bills -- unless you're name is Ben Crump.

It is a feral government law. It's patently unconstitutional, but that in no way prevents it from being the law.
The strength of this marriage was questionable long before the incident with St. Trayvon.

Huge,negative events often weaken a marriage.The death of a child,for example...regardless of the cause of the death.Cancer,car accident,swimming pool,bicycle,murder...it doesn’t matter.A child dies,there’s a good chance that divorce is around the corner.Now GZ...and maybe his wife as well...have to look over their shoulder 24/7/365.They might be broke.He may not be able to get a job.She might not be able to either.
The free publicity that O’Mara/West received as a result of defending GZ should have a monetary value imputed to it and that should be knocked off GZ’s legal bill.
I imagine that O’Mara is handling the request of financial reimbursements but more than that, I don’t know.
I don’t know if O’Mara does civil litigation, but GZ should have a couple good ca$e$.
