I looked it up. Guns are forbidden to anybody convicted of Misdemeanor Domestic Violence, in all 50 states. It’s called the “Lautenberg Amendment,” and was passed in 1997. In fact, if you have a Temporary Restraining Order against you, you can’t have any guns.

She is not affected by any guns that George may have.

She is on Probation, and is therefore subject to “Terms of Release.” “Terms of Release” is a list of extra prohibitions she has to agree to, like not ever taking a drink, never allowing any kind of Felon in her house along with other things. It is standard procedure for a prohibition of firearms on the premises to be a part of the terms of release. She is most certainly affected by any guns George may have.
I highly doubt the Court wrote up special Terms of Release that would allow George to live with her and still keep his arms. She had to have signed a paper which states she will not allow firearms on her premises.
I’ve had my life threatened and believe me, it’s not a nice feeling. So what I like to do is multiply that feeling I had by 4000 - which is what I heard is the amount of death threats Zimmerman got - and I may get close to imagining the kind of terror he is going through.
