WASHINGTON—Secretary of State John Kerry will make a statement at 12:30 p.m. ET on the situation in Syria, the State Department said, as the U.S. prepares for unilateral military action to punish the regime of Bashar al-Assad for its alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians.
Mr. Kerry will make the statement from the State Department. His remarks follow an abrupt decision by the U.K. not to participate in any military action in Syria and amid calls from members of the U.S. Congress for more information about how the U.S. plans to respond.

Still trying to understand why Kerry did this? Does he think he can change minds at this late date?
Why isn’t Congress called back?
Basicly, he just said we must act ALONE, because the RUSSIANS have made the U.N. unworkable.
I guess the same holds true for NATO, our closest allies, up till 2009 anyway, of Britain, Germany and Canada, and the electorate who want Congress to approve this folly.

Probably no faster than me. I went into our family room, where our 25 year old tv is. I turned on Fox, and there was Kerry blabbering. I turned it of as fast as I could with a mild curse.
My wife said, “That was fast. Was that Obozo?”
I told her no, it was Kerry.
She laughed and asked if Jane Fonda was with him and if he was in Cambodia. I said no to both ?’s.

This ego-saving proposed attack on Syria can’t be justified using our “national security interests,” no matter how the regime tries to spin it.
