WASHINGTON Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., called Friday for a strong U.S. response to last weeks use of chemical weapons outside Damascus, urging multiple missile strikes aimed at destroying Syrian President Bashar Assads major military assets and rendering him largely powerless.
While Graham, in a statement with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz, said the attack could be done in a limited way, without boots on the ground, the breadth of the two Republican senators suggested action would significantly increase U.S. involvement in a two-year civil war in Syria that has left 100,000 people dead and sent 1 million refugees into neighboring countries.
The goal of military action in Syria should be to shift the balance of power on the battlefield against Assad and his forces, the senators said. The United States, together with our friends and allies, should take out Assads air power, ballistic missiles, command and control, and other significant military targets, and we should dramatically increase our efforts to train and arm moderate Syrian opposition forces.

FULG!!
“The United States, together with our friends and allies...”
Pfffffffffffffft!
Whom might that be?
What psychological shortcoming is there with these French Republicans that they want to aggress heavily and squander military assets in a time of scarcity when there is nothing to be gained? What military contractor must be HQ’ed in SC?
I don’t think this is a neocon issue.
The way I understand it, neocons require that a NATIONAL INTEREST be at stake for a strike, and that would include a pre-emptive strike.
John Kerry, by his own admission “knew” that chemical weapon personnel were on the ground in Syria near a rebel population. But John Kerry and his clown hero did nothing.
There was no pre-emptive strike (because)
there is no national interest.
I don’t think Miss Graham is spouting neocon philosophy here...she is spouting her own brand of stupidity.
Of course he did. He is Sen. al Qaeda2 (GOP).
US Open borders. NO problem for Graham.
MANPADs to al Qaeda. NO problem for Graham.
SAMs to MB/al Qaeda. NO problem for Graham.
Sarin for al Qaeda. NO problem for Graham.
We really should send McCain in a Skyhawk, with Graham in the back seat, on a one-way mission over Damascus.
Sweet Lindsey will soon have a chance to put his feelings in vote,
because a vote is coming. More amo for his challengers. Push the yes vote
hard and often Sweet Lindsey.
Chad? Nah, they is with the bad boys.....wait, so are we.....never mind.
John Kerry, by his own admission knew that chemical weapon personnel were on the ground in Syria near a rebel population. But John Kerry and his clown hero did nothing.

Kerry is down for the count on this one too. He put it all on the line yesterday for Obama only to watch him back down 24 hours later. If Kerry had any integrity or dignity he’d resign. But we all know there’s no chance of that.
Wow! That picture sums it up!
Looks like Kerry got “Stuck in Syria.”
Graham, McCain etc want your son or daughter to spill their blood on Syrian soil and have you pay for it so they can score political brownie points.
Let Allah sort it out.
McCain used to get lost quite frequently during his "flying career." This is a guy who got lost over the Chesapeake, and you expect him to find Damascus?
John never did master the yanking and banking thing.
Amen!
