So exactly what battles are being fought and won by the GOP now? The GOP establishment always looks for ways to postpone a fight. They have failed to use the leverage they have in controlling the House. They should have won the Senate the last time.

Yet these are the guys you want to take up this fight? They haven't even formed a coherent, unified message. Reality isn't defeatism, it's just reality. We're not running a small-but-dedicated force here--a lightning raid against the enemy won't accomplish anything but utter defeat.

The question you should ask, "Has Obama committed impeachable offenses?" Do you think he has?

I believe he has, yes. However, believing and proving beyond a shadow of a doubt for a lot of scared politicians to vote against him and bring on all kinds of hell from the media is a whole other thing. Again, reality intrudes on FR fantasy.

Time is not on our side. The rapidly changing demographics will make the Dems the permanent majority party.

If this is true then the war is already lost, so we'd better head for the hills. And you say I'm a defeatist?

You are the one claiming these are the "adults" who are fighting the battles that "can and will be won." I consider the GOP establishment as part of the enemy. The first thing that needs to be done is to take over the GOP or failing that, form a third party. The reality is that the majority of Reps in the House are conservatives, many of whom came in with the Tea Party wave in 2010. The ossified GOP leadership has squandered that victory. And what they are doing now will depress voter turnout in 2014. We need people with passion and energy who will actually oppose what Obama is doing in a very visible way. There is plenty of anger and frustration out here.

It is not fantasy but reality. If we continue to fail to point out that the emperor has no clothes, we are the ones contributing to the fantasy. An impeachment proceeding will help educate the public on what Obama's crimes and misdemeanors are. It will also enable discovery and legal investigations.

We have ICE agents suing the Obama administration for failing to enforce the law. There is an abundance of scandals including Fast and Furious, IRS, NSA, Benghazi, etc. as well as many examples of Obama failing to enforce immigration laws, DOMA, Obamacare, and other federal laws. He has created his own laws when it comes to EPA, Obamacare, and immigration. I think that when people like Senator Coburn and other congressmen started talking about the "I" word, Obama took notice. It may have had some impact on his Syrian reversal.

If there is no push back from our side on Obama's usurpation of power, he will continue to push the envelope. Given the Dem control over the Senate, which I anticipate they will hold in 2014, what line does this guy have to cross for the Reps to initiate impeachment proceedings? You are giving Obama a blank check because we won't be able to convict him. I just don't subscribe to that reasoning.

And yet the House continues to pass meaningless resolutions on repealing Obamacare knowing full well they are a dead letter once they hit the Senate. And Obama would veto anything that came out of Congress even if the Reps held both houses. The de-funding effort is also a non-starter.

If this is true then the war is already lost, so we'd better head for the hills. And you say I'm a defeatist?

It is true. We are losing this country and have been ever since the 1965 Immigration Act. Every year 1.2 million permanent legal immigrants enter this country, 87% of whom are minorities as classified by the USG. Unless we seriously reduce these numbers, there is no way the GOP will ever be the majority party again. George W. Bush may be the last Rep President we will see for generations. And if the GOP ever does occupy the WH, it will be a far different party than it is today. The GOP Establishment is already trying to transform the GOP into Dem-lite.

The only way to get the castraties (sp?) in office to do what is right on ANYTHING is to make it absolutely clear to them that the public - even the critically-dangerous low-information voters - know what is going on and will not stand for it. And that will never happen unless the evidence and testimony showing the lawlessness and crimes of this regime can be forced, in a setting that the press HAS to cover. That is the only way to make the members of Congress - and anybody else in the entire system - accountable, and without accountability we are GUARANTEED absolute corruption regardless of who we pick to go to DC and become a turd.
