Rand Paul’s immigration speech
03.19.13 | Hon Sen Rand Paul (KY)

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

[but he’s not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]

If you wish to steal, if you wish to hold up and rob a bank, then we will find some money for you...

Makes a lot of sense eh ???

Yes but this was in March and apparently after he was ‘smartened up’.

But still he claims to be a conservative and that is largely evident. But conservatives are wise and wait for thes facts to reveal themselves.

Rand Paul jumped on the new tax revenue bandwagon from the special interest lobby that wants to legalize all of their illegal labor. This shows Rand Paul to be an unwise conservative and susceptible to be led around by the nose by special interest lobbyists.

Other than this show of a lack of wisdom, Rand Paul would make a good president. Ted Cruz would make the best president but the issue of his birth will impede him.

Imagine 12 million new Democrat voters added to the party's base of moochers, bums, deadbeats, and parasites.

I have no problem with more LEGAL immigration. One of the reasons we have such a problem with illegals is the stupidity of the existing laws regarding immigration.

I call BS. 3 million people were evacuated frm Houston for a hurricane. The NSA has the data to know where every illegal is. Have FReepers run the deportation program and they’ll all be out of the country in two weeks.
