Putin plans Russian delegation to sway Congress on Syria strike
CBS News / The Associated Press ^ | September 2, 2013

President Vladimir Putin hopes to send a delegation of Russian lawmakers to the United States to discuss the situation in Syria with members of Congress, the Interfax news agency reported Monday.

Russian legislators Valentina Matvienko and Sergei Naryshkin proposed that to Putin, saying polls have shown little support among Americans for armed intervention in Syria to punish President Bashar Assad's regime for an alleged chemical weapons attack.

The lawmakers said maybe U.S. legislators can be persuaded to take a "balanced stance" on the issue....

“Like flying close air support to help Al Qeida take over Syria so they can behead Orthodox Christians?”

And yet Syria is a supporter of Hizbollah (in fact, Hizbollah has taken the side of the Al-Assad government and is aiding them in the civil war) which also beheads Orthodox Christians, and also likes to shoot rockets at Israel, albeit moreso in Lebanon in Israel. Syria is also being aided and abetted by Iran and its military, who also are responsible for the production of roadside bombs and other material aid, comfort and people who have killed American soldiers in Iraq. And behind them all is Russia, and the end goal is a middle east without United States involvement, and a weakened or destroyed Israel, so that Russia can freely dominate Middle Eastern politics.

If you’re concerned about the Orthodox Christian population, then maybe you should support occupation, or at least encourage Christian organizations to help rescue Syrian refugees out of that country. Heck, out of every Middle Eastern country, as it doesn’t seem that they are safe anywhere.

Boy, that’ll change a lot of hearts and minds. sark/ Especially in the House.

Regarding disinformation, I’ll bet that Syria video showing a rebel cutting out and eating a heart was a plant. Some years ago, people high up in US (can’t remember who) felt fairly certain that a blown up apartment building in Russia (over 300 killed?) was a put up job by Putin to tar the Chechen rebels and win his election.

Bill, your point is well taken, for I believe this is a coordinated effort between the two leaders—O. meeting gays and Putin meeting Congress. Do you remember when O. did not know his mic was open he told the seasoned leader of the KGB, “ wait until I get reelected.”, i.e., for our plan to be put into effect. And I’m no tea leaves reader, but I can see the dominos falling around our ally Israel. Chaos, anti-Americans running our American system, this is not good..

Surreal and maybe a little schizophrenic.

On the one hand we have the Russian government warning its citizens not to travel to third party lands where they might be extradited to the United States for trial for alleged crimes. On the other hand we have Russian legislators who have probably at least countenanced human rights violations voluntarily going directly to America.

Surreal or even schizophrenic or not, they would be carrying the right message.

A lot of Russian dissidents and former FSB agents, one famously poisoned with Polonium 210 in the UK, felt fairly certain about that too. I’m actually of that opinion as well.

I get the feeling that Obama is going to do something really stupid over this whole matter. It is something that he and the Democrats will later regret. Big time.

Obama and his people are way in over their head. They will do something stupid and a lot of innocent people are going to get hurt/killed.

Obama is doing something that I thought would never happen - I am ready to join the anti-war protesters!

When I see the people who are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan and I ask myself - for what? To keep America safe for Trayvon Martin and his homies? The country has gone mad. Patriotic Americans are sacrificing their lives for what - Obama, Hillary and Kerry?

It’s a simple fix. Let Israel go in and it will all be over before breakfast.

Regret? Nothing has happened to them yet concerning Benghazi, the NSA, the IRS, ObamaCare, voter fraud, high unemployment, an ongoing severe recession, inflation and a hundred other things.

The more I think about what’s going on, the less it makes sense. Either Muslim Brotherhood groupie, Obama, is playing a chess game to get Israel and the U.S. attacked, or he’s working WITH Putin in a big charade that strengthens Russian interests. Maybe Obama himself will flee to Russia when there’s no one left in the U.S. willing to continue cover for his duplicity, not even the media,

But enough about 0bama. What's this guy Putin like?
Since we had to have a Communist President it's too bad he wasn't more like Putin.

We cannot allow a seasoned Communist whose every effort in life has been to undermine and diminish the United States to sway our elected representatives.
But enough about 0bama. What’s this guy Putin like?

The day is young, but yours could be Post of the Day! Classic!

During the ‘08 election the story was circulating on FR about someone having met a Russian couple at a cocktail party years earlier, and they said a Black guy named “Obama,” whom the Russians had been grooming from a young age, would have a meteoric rise to prominence and be elected President.

I don’t know if the story is true, but I recall that it sent a shiver up my spine in a way that caught me completely off guard. I have never really doubted that Obama is, except recently when I have instead suspected he was a Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaeda plant instead. Certainly no American.

As much as I hate how Obama has abused the opposition, I think the vicious KGB thug Putin needs to stay out of US business. Any conservative who thinks Putin has America's best interest at heart is overlooking the cynical nature of this budding despot. It was Putin who said the collapse of the Soviet Union was the worst thing that happened in the 20th Century, not WWII, not the Holocaust, not the Gulag.

If the US government sides with the Muzzie Brotherhood by attacking Assad, it will result in increased persecution of Christians in Syria as well as the eventual formation of the neo-Ottoman empire, which is Obama’s plan all along.

PS: For the premillennialist Freepers among us... it means Obama is trying to revive the kingdom that toppled the Roman Empire in 1453 to become the 7th kingdom described in Revelation 17, but was toppled after World War I.

The same can be said about Obama.

Note the interesting rewrite of this news to alter the perception of origin.

Putin plans Russian delegation to sway Congress on Syria strike

President Vladimir Putin hopes to send a delegation of Russian lawmakers to the United States to discuss the situation in Syria with members of Congress,...

But here we see that it wasn't Putin's idea originally, it was proposed to him: Russian legislators Valentina Matvienko and Sergei Naryshkin proposed that to Putin,...

The Western MSM hates and has character assassinated Putin. By presenting this as his idea, they hope to preemptively destroy an overture that makes Obama look like the irresponsible petulant child he is. If successful the MSM gets the US military support of the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Queda, they so much desire.
