Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday joined the chorus of Russian officials challenging Washington's argument for military intervention in Syria, saying the evidence provided by the U.S. to show the Syrian government's involvement in an alleged chemical attack on civilians was unconvincing.
"It is very strange to hear that speaking recently on this issue my good friend U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry declared that the American party had provided Russians with irrefutable evidence that the regime used chemical weapons but that Russians consciously refused to admit this fact," Lavrov said, Interfax reported.
Lavrov was referring to Kerry's interview on U.S. television channel ABC on Sunday, during which he said the U.S. had "sent people over to Russia who provided evidence" of the Syrian government's involvement in the Aug. 21 attack that was "going to be overwhelming."

The picture down in the story is VERY TELLING. It's a shame you will NEVER see it in any US Media.
There probably was gas used, but it’s all a pretext to usher in the agenda which is to bring down Assad. The Russians have their own agendas.
I believe the Russians.
I believe NO ONE in the Obamadork West Wing of Felon/Cretins, and I most certainly don’t even bother listening to the Dork-in-Chief.
I'm with ya. How sad to lose a nation of freedom to a nation of criminals.
I guess the Obama administration is sad that reusing some of the pictures from Iraq and others that were photoshopped has not convinced many.
It couldn’t possibly be that the “proof” cited by zero is “over one hundred YouTube videos”, could it?
ah, lying Lavrov. I’m convinced
You think our government is telling the truth?
I KNOW Lavrov isn’t
Since 2009, our Government does not know what the truth is.
That is the thing about Russians and most of the world. They have their agendas based on their national interest. Isn’t it strange the US has an agenda not based on national interests or threat but instead some left wing definition of a humanitarian crisis?
These same moron on the left expect us to rush to war in Syria just to make their metrosexual President look credible? Sorry. Syria is no threat to us and hasn’t threatened us or Israel. Assad as bad as he is doesn’t even rise to the level of ambition as a Saddam Hussein who not only invaded our ally Kuwait but repeatedly violated the terms of surrender after the Gulf War. How can those who did not support the effort in Iraq possibly support action in Syria? Its not like the difference between the Assad and the rebels which appear to have a large Al qaeda element is clear. I’m sorry I can’t buy into this war no more than I bought into the one in the Balkans against Serbia.
That disgusted me, I was ashamed to be an American back then because of that.
It did me too. Its strange how it takes a liberal Democrat President that makes you want to cheer for the Russians.
I’m thinking the Islamist rebels gassed their own people!
