Not too sure about the makeup of that neighborhood as I’m from a different location around KC but am told that there are three homes in that and another connecting block where three police officers and their families live, so the perp was pretty dumb to be “breaking into homes” on that block!

It is sad. So many tax dollars spent under a federal judge’s order to improve the schools, so much spent on activities and programs for the ‘disadvantaged’ and it was all for nothing. And so many decent people stuck in neighborhoods that are deteriorating around them.

He’d stolen two cars already - driving through a garage door to escape with one of them - and just chose the wrong house to try and steal his third car from.

I guess the third time wasn't his lucky charm.

“There are some parts of town that are a bit dicey, but nothing like Chicago, or Detroit.”

I guess unless something is “really done” to fix the problem, it won’t take all that long for KC to be like the other cities you mention. Just looked, KC has a Black Mayor (Sly James). That’s all that KC needs to join Detroit and a host of other “black-run” cities. It’s always the same. They pander to the Gibbsmedats passing out unearned “benefits” until the whites leave (along with their bucks), then just like Detroit, they will be asking for their “bacon” from DC in exchange for keeping the RATs on the job. Problem is, dey ain’t no mo’ bacon!

Trying to keep a low profile.
