Kind stranger pays check for couple having dinner with their special needs son after giving them a note saying: 'God only gives special children to special people'
A mother was reduced to tears by a beautiful gesture from a generous stranger towards her family and special needs son on Friday night.
Ashley England, of North Carolina, was eating out with her family in China Grove when her eight-year-old son Riley, who is non-verbal and suffers from epilepsy, got frustrated and noisy.
The mom worried that he would upset other diners in the restaurant. Instead, a kind-hearted mystery man paid for their meal and sent a note reading: 'God only gives special children to special people.'

Jesus joke. Jewish comedian once told a crowd that he supported Gov Huckabee for President because during an interview the gov was asked who he wanted for VP. Gov Huckabee said Jesus, because he would make a great POTUS if something happended to him. The comedian punch line was if something happend to the Pres we would have our first Jewish. Then a Christian in the audience responded, not a chance, Jesus can heal the sick and raise the dead.
Last year we were at a restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard. Seated near us was a table with a few fellows in uniform. My husband told the waitress that he wanted to pay for their meal and was told “get in line, half the place has offered to pay for them”.
I know two young divinity students who were eating at a nice restaurant in New Orleans. There was a lady sitting next to them who was waiting for her husband.
It turned out he was Mike Ditka. They asked her if he had a softer side and she said he did but she hardly ever saw it.
When they finished and went to pay their bill, the waiter said the lade had already paid it.
Still, it's a pleasant article to read, and a nice change from the usual FR gloom and doom.
I’d like to do this kind of thing but my practical self asks “how do you know that the restaurant doesn’t charge the other people when you leave?”..

The whole family gathered for our 50th wedding anniversary a few years ago. Part of the celebration was a renewal of our vows at Mass on a Sunday morning. My daughter was there with her 3 sons, one of whom is autistic and hard to handle. Of course, our family was in the front 3 rows.
After Mass, a man whom we did not know, approached my daughter and congratulated her on how well she handled Andy throughout the hour+ Mass. She was knocked back by the gesture and really appreciated it.
Apparently Jesus also eats at Skyline in Oxford, Ohio. I was there once with my little girl and one of her little friends (both of them were about 6 years old at the time and quite lively). It was probably obvious that I was a single mother (although only one of the girls was mine). Anyway, when the time came to pay our bill, the waitress told me it had been paid already. I never found out who it was. God bless them.
