Heritage Action on Wednesday said it opposes a military strike against Syria, a position that will put pressure on Republicans to block President Obamas request.
The group said Tuesdays Senate hearing made it clear there was no vital U.S. interest at stake.
Further, there is not a clear, achievable, realistic purpose to the use of force being contemplated by the Obama administration and officials offered little evidence such action would prevent further abuses, the group said in a statement.

How do they feel about striking Iran, Saudiland AND Syria?
You can take the neighborhood thug out of Chicago, but you can't take Chicago out of the neighborhood thug.

The Syrian situation reminds me of a neighborhood fiasco recently. Two dogs got into a fight. A neighbor leaps in to “protect” her dog.
The result is puncture wounds in both arms: trip to ER, pain meds and rabies shots. Oh, it was HER dog that bit her.
Neither dog had a scratch.
