Marco Rubio Sinking in New Hampshire 2016 Poll BY: KEVIN DERBY | Posted: August 7, 2013 8:59 AM The latest Granite State poll by WMUR and the University of New Hampshire was released late on Tuesday and it shows U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., sinking in New Hampshire, home of the first presidential primary. Rubio is expected to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. In recent months. Rubio has drawn fire from conservatives for his prominent role in supporting immigration reform.

The poll finds New Hampshire Republicans divided on who they want to see as their party’s nominee in 2016. Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey leads the pack with 21 percent followed by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., with 16 percent. Former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida is in third with 10 percent followed by U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., with 8 percent and Rubio with 6 percent. Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania is tied with two Texans -- Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz -- in sixth with 4 percent each. Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin takes 2 percent. Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and two Ohio Republicans -- Gov. John Kasich and U.S. Sen. Rob Portman -- all take less than 1 percent.

This is a major step back for Rubio who took 22 percent in the Granite State poll back in February and 14 percent in an April one. His net favorability with New Hampshire Republicans dropped from 50 percent in February and 51 percent in April to 33 percent in this most recent poll. There is some good news for Rubio as only 2 percent of New Hampshire Republicans say they will never vote for Rubio.

Andrew Smith, the director of the UNH Survey Center, noted Rubio is not the only candidate sinking in New Hampshire.

“Rubio and Christie have seen their net favorability ratings drop significantly – Rubio’s has dropped 18 percentage points since April and Christie’s has dropped 14 percentage points since February,” said Smith. “These drops are indications that Rubio and Christie have alienated significant segments of the Republican base.”

The poll of 516 New Hampshire adults was taken between July 18-29 with a sample of 200 likely Republican primary voters. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 4.3 percent.

Christie’s act won’t play well in the South. Her views are to the Left of most of us. And then there’s the eating disorder which demonstrates lack of discipline and slothfulness. No thanks.

And who did New Hampshire eventually go for for the 2012 nomination?

New Hampshire=Blue State!

Iowa Ditto

How about we start off in the state that has has gone for the republicans in the presidential elections the most in say the past 75 Years?

That would be a pretty good gauge wouldn't it?

But no, then the GOP-E couldn't stack the primary with Dems to choice their choice of Candidate.

Marco has come off as a two faced phony. He thought he could push that amnesty thing through, then come back to us and rejoin where he left off. Everything he says that is even remotely conservative, appears to be fake and pandering. Moreover Cruz, and Lee have provided a sharp contrast to the "cross the aisle and surrender" progressive / spineless republican crowd. Cruz and Lee do this by actually walking the walk in Washington, not just making tough speeches for the home crowd.

As for Cristie, you just have to show how he endorsed Barry in the final week before the 2012 election. Even a RINO would not do that utter betrayal.

These broken primaries remind me of whack-a-mole. Which RINO will popup next?

It’s ironic you mention that as Rubio has said his real dream job is GM of the Dolphins and apparently he was once caught on the Senate floor with a briefing book that turned out to have an NFL draft guide inside it

not surprising. I believe Romney got 39% in NH in 2008. If you add up Christie, Jeb, and Ryan, you get 39%. Basically those 3 are splitting the Romney vote. Paul is pretty much maintaining what his dad had.

The fact these people could possible favor Doughnut Boy tells you it’s time to start rotating state primaries. New Hampshire should hold its primary in June for the next several cycles.

We don’t need NH playing a disproportionate role in picking our nominee any more than we need ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBC moderating presidential debates.

Rubio spoke out AGAINST involvement in Syria very forcefully.

Christie supports Global Warming conspirators, is anti-gun, is pro Muslim and pro illegal aliens.

If the idiots in the GOP nominate this fat John McCain clone I will not support or vote for him.
