A dentist who offered to perform genital mutilation on two young girls in a sting by an undercover reporter has been struck off.
Omar Sheikh Mohamed Addow, 56, is the first dentist to be struck off by the General Dental Council for the crime, which carries a maximum 14-year sentence in the UK.
The council's Professional Conduct Committee found that Addow had also performed an inappropriate examination of the reporter's chest, abdomen and vagina at his surgery, which was illegal as he was not a doctor registered with the General Medical Council.

When asked to perform FGM on the reporter's two nieces, aged 10 and 13, Addow was filmed on a hidden camera agreeing, and said that he could go to prison for performing the procedure, "but I will do it for you."

FMG involves the removal of outer parts of the vulva, and is believed to have been carried out on as many as 66,000 women in the UK, mostly in other countries.
The practice is associated with communities in Africa, particularly Mali, Somalia, Sudan and Kenya, and parts of the Middle East.

In general I believe the good Lord uniformly frowns on things that involve people playing Satan. Don’t initiate a proposition to your neighbor to do what is wrong, period. Not only will this directly insult the Lord, it will put YOU in a spiritually compromised position, not unforgivable but with unmistakable consequences that are not just personal but reach to those you associate with. Still, to have an existing customer rat him out than to follow already arranged dealings between that customer and him, would be cricket here.

This dentist is just being a good dhimmi and going along to get along. He should have been better at taqiya, and nobody would have been the wiser.
But, in all probability, he was much more qualified than the goat herder brother or father that would normally perform the procedure with his good fishing knife in the barn. Besides, he probably wasn’t on Planned Parenthood’s recommended “womens health referral list” (wink wink...).
Actually, it is a broad term that covers mutilation ranging from fairly minor to truly horrific.
Interestingly, around 90% of the Coptic Christians we're all so concerned about practice it, and in a pretty extreme version, too.
