Arctic summers ice-free 'by 2013' [Environmental doomsayers are wrong - again]

Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice.

Their latest modelling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years.

Professor Wieslaw Maslowski told an American Geophysical Union meeting that previous projections had underestimated the processes now driving ice loss.

Summer melting this year reduced the ice cover to 4.13 million sq km, the smallest ever extent in modern times.

Remarkably, this stunning low point was not even incorporated into the model runs of Professor Maslowski and his team, which used data sets from 1979 to 2004 to constrain their future projections.

"Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007," the researcher from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, explained to the BBC.

"So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative."

the truth is there is record new arctic ice, and record cold temperatures, the exact opposite of what democrats have been saying for 30 years

for 30 years the governmentS ,scientists, and the media have been screeching “global warming” saying that capitalism is heating up the planet with CO2, that the ice caps will melt soon and so that sea levels would rise.

I find it amusing that dozens of yachts are stuck in the Northwest Passage by the early accumulation of ice. You know that if these boats had made the passage successfully, the owners would have been droning on endlessly about the ice-free Arctic and Global Warming, blah,blah,blah...

I used to use the word "hoax" when posting about "global warming", but have decided the word is inappropriate. "Hoax" implies a prank, or an April Fool's joke. What the global warming fraudsters are trying to pull off is a scam. It is all about the money.

There are politicians and "connected" people who were looking at skimming literally trillions of dollars, without end, from energy taxes and "carbon trading" schemes and so forth. And, of course, the global socialists were wringing their hands in glee at the prospect of "redistributing" American tax dollars around the globe to third world pisspots.

No, this was no playful hoax. It wasn't even a mean hoax. This was a monstrous scam the magnitude of which has never before been imagined. Thank God the scam has been exposed. The problem is that memories can be short, and the scammers have absolutely no intention of letting go. Trillions of dollars with no end? No, they are not about to stop.

Please. The scientific community has never unanimously supported the concept of anthropogenic global warming (AGW). Many of us have been skeptical all along.

As far as I can tell, the bulk of the scientific support for AGW has been in the form of the phrase "because of global warming" inserted into reports on completely unrelated topics. For instance, There's a fungus killing bats in the US northeast? It's because of global warming! The other major scientific "support" of global warming comes in the form of doomsday modeling exercises, where a handful of scientists (true believers) speculate on the dire consequences of global warming, and present their predictions as if they are imminent and unavoidable fates. The moment I see the word "will" in a scientific "study", I stop reading because it isn't a study based on observed evidence; it's pure speculation, better known as "science fiction."
