I used to use the word "hoax" when posting about "global warming", but have decided the word is inappropriate. "Hoax" implies a prank, or an April Fool's joke. What the global warming fraudsters are trying to pull off is a scam. It is all about the money.
There are politicians and "connected" people who were looking at skimming literally trillions of dollars, without end, from energy taxes and "carbon trading" schemes and so forth. And, of course, the global socialists were wringing their hands in glee at the prospect of "redistributing" American tax dollars around the globe to third world pisspots.
No, this was no playful hoax. It wasn't even a mean hoax. This was a monstrous scam the magnitude of which has never before been imagined. Thank God the scam has been exposed. The problem is that memories can be short, and the scammers have absolutely no intention of letting go. Trillions of dollars with no end? No, they are not about to stop.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!

It was obvious from the get-go that besides being Newspeak for "red", the "green" moniker was meant to be an inside joke to describe this cash cow.
