Hillary Clinton plans to address Syria at the White House Monday
Washington Post ^ | 9-9-13 | Philip Rucker

Posted on 09/09/2013 12:36:55 AM PDT by kingattax

Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former secretary of state and potential 2016 presidential candidate, is planning to make remarks about the intensifying situation in Syria during a visit to the White House on Monday.

Clinton has not personally addressed the Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack that U.S. officials say was carried out by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime or how she believes the United States should respond. Although an aide issued a statement last Tuesday saying she supports President Obama’s effort to seek authorization from Congress for a retaliatory strike.

The Syria war bs is put out there to distract us from the Amnesty bill that is coming up. It’s to get us thinking about syria while they pass the amnesty bill behind our backs So we don’t lobby our congressmen to not pass amnesty

call Congress . tell them no immigration related bill from the House as any could be merged with the Senate amnesty bill. Focus people

Focus on stopping the amnesty bill and call out crap like the syria crap.

99% of the media news stories are to distract us from what the government is doing or to advance the socialist/democrat agenda. it’s not news

Obama , democrats and the media want war with
Syria to:

1. distract us from stopping the Amnesty bill

2. To help Islamic radicals(alqueda) take over Syria

Obama ,democrats and the media . what is the common denominator? they are democrats and part of the democrat party. they are pure evil wanting to help Islamic terrorists take over another country so they frame Assad when Islamics are invading syria from other Muslim countries and these islamics are killing Christians and they the Islamic radicals not Assad are the ones who used the chemical weapons . Obama helped the Islamic terrorists and knows who did what

Hilliary:

First of all I just wanted to say my remarks will cover the present situation in Syria. I will not take any questions regarding that rather large country just to the West of Egypt. So don't even bother me with those probing questions and allegations, I have no time for this stuff, after all, I am running an election campaign starting...right now!

They are so desperate that they are bringing back Hillary Clinton here!

Since they are having the specifically not elected Hillary Clinton do a press conference here and have had the also specifically not elected John Kerry inserted as Secretary of State doing press conferences, I demand that they also have Walter Mondale, Madeline Albright, and Jimmy Carter's Secretary of State Cyrus Vance also be given press conference time by the networks in their continued 24 hour coverage of "The March for War". Then they should also have the other first ladies Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey do press conferences.

They can't get Jimmy Carter because he says strikes are illegal without UN support.

Looks like Hillary has been something of a shadow president here.

the situation in Syria is not “intensifying”

obama and his propagandists are “intensifying” it

big big difference

now Cankles, fresh off her month-long vacation in her $200, 000 a month Hamptons summer rental, is ready to wade in and look all hugh and series. Maybe someone will aks her wtf the State Department policy was toward Assad 5 years ago when she was annointed in charge of US diplomacy and the John Kerry-Heinz duo was wining and dining with the Assads - party of 4

you left out “overshadow the coming budget crisis” since obama’s administration overspent the debt ceiling for the past 3 months and has to get mo’ money from Congress in 3 weeks

If they wanted to run in a bunch of very old people such as those you mentioned, to speak to America from the WH, well, why not? They might even be that desperate.

But one exception, Cyrus Vance died in 2002 at the age of 85. If even alive today he would be 96. But alas...

Posting a propaganda film link against Franco’s efforts to eliminate the Bolsheviks running Spain is ridiculous.

The Spanish Civil War was not the forerunner of WWII. WWI was.

Franco was a hero who saved Spain.

Clinton: Assad’s ‘Chemical Weapons’ a ‘Red Line’ for US

Dec 4, 2012

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sternly warned Syria Monday that using chemical weapons against rebel forces would be a “red line” and trigger retaliatory action from the United States.

Along with a pledge from President Obama, Clinton’s words were the second public warning from the U.S. government in response to reports that Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad may be moving a chemical weapons stockpile.

“We have made our views very clear. This is a red line for the United States. I’m not going to telegraph in any specifics what we would do in the event of credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against his own people, but suffice to say we are certainly planning to take action if that eventuality were to occur,” Clinton said at a press conference in Prague.

(snip)

Some possibilities:
Maybe Barry needs help in losing some paperwork.
Maybe Barry and Hillary will have a beer summit. Maybe Barry and Hillary will have a rousing game of spades.
Maybe Hillary is scouting some interns for Bill.

Exactly. I believe Kerry wants to make another run for the White House, and Hillary knows it. He has been getting a lot of air time lately, and Hillary doesn't want to left in the dust. She will make a statement about Syria, but it won't be a ringing endorsement of military intervention. Instead, it will be ambiguous enough that she can claim she was right there with Obama and Kerry if things go well, and give her plausible deniability if things go bad.

If Hilary wanted to secure the nomination, all she would have to do is simply say that this is the wrong course and that unilateral action is a bad idea.

She could buy her nomination by throwing Obama under the bus. 35 seconds and most every liberal (and probably quite a few conservatives) would flock to her banner.

If she supports Obama on this, she shoots herself in the foot.

There’s WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION involved .... (never mind that these were the same WMDs that were in Iraq and transferred across the border - THAT was “Bush’s War!” - this is a Democrat-controlled war, and therefore, holy, righteous, justified, and you damn well better support it!)
