LAKE MARY, Fla - Lake Mary Police are now questioning the validity of several statements Shellie Zimmerman made when she told 911 dispatchers her estranged husband, George Zimmerman, threatened her and her father at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

"We did not find a gun, did not locate a weapon," said Zach Hudson, public information officer with the Lake Mary Police Department. "Nobody ever saw a gun. A gun is not part of this story."

Still, a gun was at the crux of the account Shellie Zimmerman provided to 911 dispatchers when calling for help.

"He continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying, 'Step closer.' He is just threatening all of us," Shellie can be heard telling dispatchers.

Hudson told ABC Action News Shellie provided a written statement Monday night saying she never saw a gun and only assumed her estranged husband was carrying a weapon because he touched his stomach.

Shellie called police to her father's home on Sprucewood Road around 2 p.m. She claimed George punched her father in the face and threatened both of them with a gun.

"He accosted my father and then took my IPad and then smashed it and cut it with a pocketknife. I don't know what he is capable of. I am really really scared," Shellie told dispatchers.

According to authorities, Shellie's father did not have any visible injuries.

In the 911 call, Shellie asked the dispatcher to send paramedics because her father's nose looked like it was broken.

There are also other inconsistencies police pointed to on the 911.

The entire 911 call was a fabrication, and in a just world Fat Shellie would be VoP’ed for it, and in jail by the weekend.

The fact that the PIO had to call Nancy Grace last night to set her straight on Shellie’s prefabricated 911 call does not bode well for Shellie.

And it is even worse than that:

Everyone yesterday got to see first hand the “20 foot trailer in the woods” that Shellie in her ABC interview claimed they lived in during the trial.

Another Shellie/ABC prefabrication exposed for all to see.

I figure this woman was behind trying to hide from the court as the trial got started the $130,000 or so that was in the Zimmerman defense fund. Or maybe it was pre-trial.

Anyway, she looks like a greedy, untrustworthy snake and a loon to boot.

You might be right.

It wasn’t so much her statements at the bond hearing that got her in trouble but the record of all of the financial transfers between the different accounts that showed deception. That was her doing.

He needs to get out of the State of Florida. Go to somewhere like Alaska and get a job on a crab or fishing boat where he can just disappear for at least a year. Because if he stays in Florida he is going to come to a bad ending. The media will not allow him to live a normal life, i.e. get a job and be gainfully employed,

I understand that he has a law suit or lawsuits pending, but lawsuits can be dragged out for years. And the media is not going to stop hounding him.

That family has been through more than enough, but the media are still hounding and stalking them.

Per FoxNews this morning, neither Zimmerman nor his father-in-law are filing charges. And, the ‘gun’ was in the auto glove box, so it was never an issue.

==

No wonder Richard Jewell, accused of the Atlanta bombing, died at an early age. He, too was hounded and stalked for years after by the media.

==

The media can be destructive.

In my state, the restraining order law specifically states that, if a woman is later proven to have committed perjury to obtain a restraining order, that she cannot be charged or sanctioned.

Wow. I know it works like that in practice (from personal experience), but that's astounding to have state sanctioned purgery enshrined in law.

I agree. He needs to stay out of the headlines. Even minor traffic incidents, parking tickets, sneezing in public, etc., are going to put the spotlight on him.

The media will continue to stalk him -- until a bigger, newer incident grabs their attention.

You then find out later not a damned thing came of the accusation but, the guy is fk’d for years, for the false accusation alone.

Been there. not a damned thing you can do about it, and once it's out there, it never really goes away. My ex is really lucky I'm not the raving lunatic she tried to claim I was. If so, she wouldn't be wasting oxygen.

It’s not the media necessarily stalking him in this case — it’s his wife Shellie.

She instigated this confrontation by going to the house when she knew he would be there and then calling 911 — twice — and making stuff up both times.

She conveniently left some stuff in the house so she could justify going back to it.

After the kerfulffle in the house GZ leaves and goes out to the vehicle and she follows him out there and calls again claiming to hear and see stuff from over 100 feet away.

When the police arrive she refuses to give them a statement to back up her 911 call, only later to sign a statement that she never saw a gun.

And the media say that she is not pressing charges. It sounds like GZ and the police should be pressing charges against her.

And listen on the tape how she bosses her father around — “get in here, dad”.

If it were a bona fide case of domestic violence, she would not have to, the State would pick it up. But none the less, in my opinion, George needs to get the hell away. because she can go somewhere kinda out of the way get a couple of her friends to back up her story and pinch herself, bite herself or do anything to leave a sign on her ,call the police and say George did it and had left the scene and George is up the creek again. It, again in my opinion, would be better for George if he was far, far away from her, because I believe she will try something else.

They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Some time ago I siged a contract to buy a condo. Just before closing, a deed search found the seller, a five time married 30yo “lady”, bought the home with the help of her live in boy friend signing as coowner to qualify for a mortgage. She wanted out of the house and I was in transit cross country to what I thought would be my new one.
Anyway, the former live in wanted 25K to clear title. She invited him over to discuss, started a ruckus near a staircase, threw herself down them and called the police citing a battery on her. Conveniently she had a quit claim deed handy so when the coppers arrived she presented the guy with an ultimatum, be charged with felony assault or sign the quit claim. Guy knew his limitations and signed.

Never underestimate the lengths some women will go to.
