Actually it’s a win/win all around and retains status quo. Sure Syria gives up some weapons but gets to hide as many as they want. Obama saves face. Russia likes it. No useless bombing. I’m fine with it. However it fixes nothing. And it is not our problem to fix.

“Funny how the “rebels” pretty much leave the Russians alone. Maybe having your relatives delivered quartered and skinned in bags has a deterrent effect”

He will find a way to take credit for this.

Credit? This is an unmitigated disaster. Assad is now off the hook for his (alleged) use of chemical weapons. And we are now at the mercy of UN inspectors for the next 12 years just like we were in Iraq.
Credit? He needs to be impeached for being this stupid - he and Kerry both.

******

He should have been impeached long ago but thanks to spineless republicans he wasn’t. He will find a way to make himself look good tonight. He is arrogant and ignorant, and even though he knows we know the truth that will not stop him from lying thru his horse teeth. Mark my words, he will say he had this planned a year ago after his red line speech.

Good eye. The Fed, the dollar, and it's misbehavior is part of the Western liberal socialist bankster system that the Saudis run their money through. Russian petro sales hurt this system, as does China's petro trading.

Obama needs even worse behavior on the part of the Fed to continue to prop up his perceived economic recovery and "low" unemployment numbers.

I think he will go for the nom and the Saudi bribes were for more than one purpose.

How is this a win for Obama? His presidency is diminished, as is our power on the world stage.

The Syria crisis is far from over.

Let me guess...”international control” means primarily Russia and China.

Actually, it will turn out to mean Syria and the UN. (See: Iraq, 1991-2003)

This is a win for Russia, Syria, and Iran. If Obama also claims it as a ‘win’, then it will be obvious which side he is really on.

Was it not obvious when Obama did not salute the flag?

Was it not obvious when Obama released the COLE terrorists?

Was it not obvious when Obama brought in Hasan?

Was it not obvious when Obama helped and armed terrorists?

Was it not obvious when Obama gave al Qaeda 20000 MANPADs?

Just a small interest (sadly I am no Ellis Wyatt). I work for a public company and about 15% of our business is oil & gas related. I’m on the finance and economic forecasting side so I keep up with a lot of macro economic data.

In order to achieve any real security, accountability, and disposal of these weapons, Assad will have to remain in control and the fighting will have to cease. Concessions of time and cessation of hostilities will be “necessary” for a process which will never occur. No joy in Mud-istan for the islamofascists and Obama. Russia, Syria, Iran, and Hezbollah secure game, set, match. Face it, Zero......you’ve been outplayed.

> Now we can see the possible upcoming danger. And 9/11 is tomorrow

I would expect there to be something pretty big in the works given the situation at hand.

How is this a win for Obama? His presidency is diminished, as is our power on the world stage.

It's a win for Obama. Americans at large don't care about our power on the world stage.

Americans care about gay marriage, pot-legalization, and tobacco illegalization. They care about which celebrity will be dancing with other celebrities on TV this fall. They are busy learning about twerking. We are setting our DVR's for about 6 different TV series' that will be coming on this fall.

All of these concerns leave us too busy to pay too much attention to the world-stage. We'll believe what the media tells us to believe so we can get back to it.
