The Legislative District 26 Republican Party in Arizona has passed a formal rebuke of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for abdicating GOP principles in helping Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) secure votes to approve several of President Barack Obamas controversial nominees.
Senator John McCain unilaterally negotiated with the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to secure Republican votes necessary to pass a number of controversial Presidential nominees, the resolution, which passed the official GOP body in the state by a 24-13 vote with four abstentions on Tuesday evening, reads.
The resolution notes that President Obama nominated Gina McCarthy for head of the Environmental Protection Agency, an environmental bureaucrat who supports anti-job/consumer policies, Richard Corday to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFRB), an unaccountable, unconstitutional agency created by the Dodd-Frank legislation, and Thomas Perez as Labor Secretary who has a known record for abusing power as Marylands Labor Secretary, handing political appointments to Big-Labor bedfellows.

Arizona has the possibility of recall. A formal rebuke is like throwing a marshmallow at him. When they get a recall election going I’ll be impressed.
McCain collaborating with the enemy, whoda thunk it?
The voters of AZ had the chance to rid themselves and us of this idiot in 2010, but chose not to. It seems its so much easier to vote for the name rather than do homework on a candidate and replace him/her.
Nope. There is no provision for it in the constitution.
However, there is hope. It is called an Article V state amendment convention. Mark Levin's second recommended amendment means repeal of the 17th amendment, plus the addition of state power to recall their senators.
There is little time to implement much needed reform.
I doubt McCain cares. He is not up for reelection until 2018 when he will be 82.
The Amish have a thing they call shunning.
John McCain should be shunned by every Republican Senator in the gallery.
Ignore the traitor, do not peak to him, do not answer the phone when he calls. Look the other way when you pass him in the hall.
This will not happen of course, any body who voted almost Unanimously to place Kerry as S.O.S. does not mind a traitor in their midst. In fact they seem to love him.
It would be easier to use duct tape and a closet with a lock.
Recall effort for McCain?

“Senator McCain claims in defense of his actions, that they were taken to prevent the Senate Majority Leader from going nuclear and illegally breaking the Senate rules to pass these nominees,
Well that’s even worse. He’s there to make sure Reid does
it the right way. In his own defense McCain dug himself
in deeper. You know, he’s about stupid enough to qualify
for one of those Kerry type appointments from Obama.
“It seems its so much easier to vote for the name rather than do homework on a candidate and replace him/her.”
No they are morons and are aptly represented. How he is
is how they are. The same goes here in Texas with Jackson
Lee and Gene Green. Their supporters are some of the
stupidest people in the country.
Yes, the USA people only have the govt. they deserve. They’ve been voting for people such as McCain for decades now.
Americans are too addicted to their televisions and other entertainments to care much until they start going hungry and suffering more violence. Then they will wake up and blame someone else. But they all have opinions on anything, ask them, never mind that most could not even fill in the continents on a blank globe, let alone the countries.
Affirmative Action at work, dumber and dumber and many deserving every bad thing coming their way. I’m just waiting to play my part, the enemy is down my street, I can easily spot them via their bumper stickers.
“Arizona has the possibility of recall. A formal rebuke is like throwing a marshmallow at him. When they get a recall election going Ill be impressed.”
It is NOT possible to do recall elections of U.S. Senators or Congressmen. It has been tried and ruled unconstitutional.
Unfortunately, recall elections are limited to State and lower offices....but even then the process is dictated by state law.
Rebuked?? He needs to be kicked out of the party
“Mark Levin’s second recommended amendment means repeal of the 17th amendment, plus the addition of state power to recall their senators.”
NO, NO, and again NO. Direct election of Senators is RIGHT and CORRECT and it should NEVER GO AWAY. Why should a legislator be any more trusted to pick a Senator than the people directly? THEY CANNOT!
For years my home state elected Democrats to the legislature and the legislature was fully in Democrat control. However, the people consistently elected conservative Republicans for the U.S. Senate and House. IF the 17th had of been repealed then....there would have been MANY years where Democrats would have ALWAYS been picked by a Democrat Legislature instead of the Republican that were. It is IDIOTIC to think a legislature can be trusted....they are also partisan. Direct election is best. Senators pick by a Legislature WILL NOT represent the interests of a state’s people anymore than those directly elected by the people...they will represent the “interests” of the party currently controlling the legislature. It is a very bad idea...that is why the 17th was made.....they days of “good” state legislatures is gone.
NOW that being said. IF they were to amend the COTUS to allow recall elections of U.S. Senators (and House members) I would agree to that. But you wackadodos that want the 17th repealed are just idiots or wack jobs. And yes, that is an AD HOMINEN attack.
Why do people keep saying that? You can't recall a sitting Senator or Congressman. It's like term limits, not in the Constitution. We complain bitterly when the Rats break the Constitution but gleefully break it when we feel like it.
I was a big fan of Brewer, but she has since disappointed me.
We are screwed as a country, people and a party. We have garbage representing us.
All that is fine and good... until you realize that dems gerrymander districts once they get in control. In some states, there is almost no way for an R to win seat because of meandering lines all over the place which insure D victories.
I’m in Illinois, and our state is just one of them. CA is another.
Once those gerrymandered lines are set, it is very hard to change them back because of our corrupt courts.
I agree to your point, but my point is equally valid. Another solution must be found.
