Using your logic...

No. That's what I was doing. If you are going to bring Old Testament law into a discussion like this, be aware that you aren't the only one whose read a Bible or three...

Ignore irrelevant or poorly formulated posts? Because life is too short.

...pretty much gave up by her own choice the right to keep it private.

Well... Ok then.

Still doesn't detract IMO.

Think how they will look in their senior years.

Think how much money could be made in developing a reliable tattoo removing method.

Seriously. It is like marking graffiti on the Taj Mahal. But it is still the Taj Mahal.

Leviticus huh?

Are you wearing a variety of fabrics right now? Any cotton/wool blends in your closet?

Get rid of them. Lev 19:19.

Same if you planted beans next to the squash in your garden.

Stop it.

OUTSTANDING.

Amazing...A gal who can shoot, bowhunts, in serving her country, is easy on the eyes, and who mastered singing a piece of opera she found on YouTube in 48 hours well enough to WIN singing it, and all people can do is carp about a bit of ink in her skin...

You gotta be kidding me!

What a bunch of crap.

I surprised so many here are more shallow than her ink

worth repeating...and for those making all these asinine comments...what happened to:

"judge not lest ye be judged?"

The root or beginning reason for a tattoo is to mark a slave.

Ought to read up on Polynesian culture.

I think you nailed it.

My husband of 18.5 years served almost a decade as a driver for the Navy SEALS. He has never been unemployed since he was a teenager, sometimes holding more than one job to help out his family. Since his military service, he attended engineering school while holding down a full-time job in the engineering field and earning a 3.9 GPA. That was with a wife and a family of young children. He currently works in a position where he designs machines that test the motors of medical devices, defense mechanisms, and other equipment. He is a Catholic convert (since 1998), a member of the Knights of Columbus, and has done time as a Cub Scout leader. He is also the first guy to help out...whether it is a person stranded by the side of the road, at our church, or one of his family members.

He has GASP!!!!! a tattoo. I am not sure how I have given birth to his four children knowing this information. I must be brainwashed or something.

If any of you FReepers don’t want of the medical devices he has had a hand in testing the motors for, let me know, and I will make sure that he is aware of it. ;) That ink might have done something to his brain since 1994 (when he got the tattoo).

I love the smell of FReeper snobbery in the afternoon.

Not really. People get so tied up in the minutia that they lose the Message.

Then again, according to Deuteronomy 17:2-7 I should be taken to the city gates and stoned to death.

While I admire some of Jehovah's ideas about how He wanted to run His people, they've lost the Spirit in a lot of ways.

Part of what makes the Taj so beautiful is the painted on artwork and inlaid mosaics.

Saying Miss Kansas "desecrated" her God-given beauty by getting inked is like saying the Taj is ugly because the stone used to create it wasn't left the original color...

Maybe da Vinci should have left all those canvases their original color as well.
