That's a 45° herringbone pattern with a long sailor course edge, on the drive and a 90° herringbone pattern on the walk. A LOT of individual cuts. Very nice.
Ask the owners if they have any extra pavers leftover for repairs, or if they had it done, who was the supplier (Hanover, EP Henry, Belgard etc). There's almost always some casualties on the driveway portion, as the years go by, and you may need to make some replacements.
Tom Marr is kickin ass and takin names
I love it
He IS good tonite.
THANK-YOU Clint for your help!
That home looks beautiful!
Tom sure sounds good tonight! Hope he mentioned the FRpers. Was doing the kitty litter boxes.
Thought you’d enjoy this!
It’s one you want your Children and Grandchildren to read.
They won’t believe this happened, but it DID.
Harry & Bess
(This seems unreal.)
Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation’s history as any of the other 32 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.
The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.
When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an ‘allowance’ and later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.
When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, “You don’t want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn’t belong to me.. It belongs to the American people and it’s not for sale.”
Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, “I don’t consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise.”
As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.
Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, too many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale (ie. Illinois ).
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, “My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference!
We ought to have cloned him for telling it like it is and being frugal with our tax dollars!
You got it!
I like what he said about there is no differences between a piano player in a whore house and being a politco. How true.
Thank-you!
From the same state that gave to the airwaves EL Rushbo.

See some of you on “Gun Talk”, Sunday evening.
Sorry to post and run. Took Mrs s out for a night on the town. (Our favorite cheap mexican restaurant).
Thanks for the nice words on house #3, so happy this one passed inspection. Never told you all about the first house we made an offer on, the floor plan was so horrible we would have been miserable...glad those sellers countered our offer so we could get out of it. And you all know about the mold in the cool house with the pool next to the CIA.
This one is a keeper. Thanks for the good advice on the bricks c_h, will look into finding replacements. It looks like right now we want to take out the Koi pond and put in a pool. With our luck with plants and fish the Koi are goners, there are only 2 in the pond we found out during inspection...I’m sure we can find them happy homes. Will post pics on the progress.
