The 3 drivers involved in that all lived. The guy in the upside down car found a pocket of air. It was quite awhile before he was rescued. An article (I can try to find it) quotes him as saying he sang to God and prayed. Rescuers called it a miracle he survived.

Yeap, The one in a hundred has to do with statistics. Tulsa hit the odds closely. Tulsa flooding would be like Boulder flooding.

In this case, every drainage basin from Denver to Fort Collins flooded.

I am wondering if I can rent a helicopter just to get through my normally 20 minute commute. 119 into LM is gone in a few places, so the pressure on Hwy 66 is going to be overwhelming. Then only 2 streets over St. Vrain... maybe 3, will have to see.

I heard they would be doing evacuations 24 x 7. They are using night vision.

I seem to be in asmall corridor where the rain hasn’t been too bad, but the sump pump is working overtime. Ground is saturated

Wow! What if that were a gas line (is it?) and it ruptured?

On a side note, the gold prospecting should be great! Good luck to you Coloradans.

Raining 1”/hr again in downtown Boulder, again.

I’ve got the sump pumps running out to the street, if I pump it to the yard, anywhere, it just adds back to the flow and I get to pump it out again.

The ground water is literally flowing under my house, I have streams coming in from 3 direction, now add the surface water back in. I’m keeping up.

It is a gas line(there’s a sub station right up that hill), they have to move the new crews back because they were afraid of it blowing.

A friend in Lyons says he isn’t leaving his house even though he is without electricity or water.

I know. I didn’t go to church today because it is south of town (Longmont) and I was afraid I’d be cut off from coming back home.

Yes, a couple of days ago.
