On Monday, President Barack Obama will mark the five-year anniversary of the U.S. financial crisis by reportedly speaking from the White House Rose Garden to "highlight his administration's response to it."
The Hill reports Obama will make his remarks the day after the official anniversary, which began when Lehman Brothers collapsed five years ago. In response to the crisis, "the Bush administration pushed its Wall Street bailout plan through a reluctant Congress in late 2008 and launched a separate effort to prop up the nation's automakers."

yes, he took a five week cash flow crisis in a couple of big investment banks....and turned it into a five year (and continuing) nationwide depression with millions of jobs lost
something to “celebrate” if you want to “Transform” the “exceptional” Amerika into a crappy, poor third-world tin-pot dictatorship
THat crybaby bitch Office of the President Elect demanded it.
Now it's "Boosh's fault".
Screw this commie bastard.
He has good reason to celebrate, he’s the one who has perpetuated this crisis.
To Celebrate?
I hate him
Like Nebuchadnezzar celebrating the breaching of the walls of JerUSAlem.
Wonder if the bastard is going to mention any of his green energy fiascoes, blocking the pipeline, shutting down coal burning power plants, 100 million dollar vacations, 40 hour workweeks being cut across the board, etc, etc?
Not just perpetuated...caused.
In the Fall of '08 investors saw this socialist coming with his promises of socialized medicine, cap and trade, and a pro-Islamist policy.
The Wall Street collapse was caused by Obama gaining power, not by Bush.
If Bush did anything because Obama demanded it—by definition that is Bush’s fault.
Bastard’s probably celebrating the destruction of our economy.
How many Americans are now permanently unemployed? How many families have lost their homes and way of life? How much closer are we to Obama's Marxist ideals? How much is America diminished in world stature? How much do our former close allies now mistrust us to keep our word? How many American patriots have we left on the battlefield to die?
It is doubtful Obama will tell you how bleak the future really looks for America.
What financial crisis? The way all these government agencies spend money, I can’t imagine there’s and problem with money at all!

NSA director modeled top secret war room to look like the bridge of Star Trek’s Enterprise
As head of the Army’s Intelligence and Security Command, Keith Alexander gave orders from the odd room designed with tax dollars
Alexander now heads the embroiled NSA
100% correct.
His narcissism will never allow him to accept responsibility.
The American public has grown tired of him blaming President Bush. Even the liberals are tired of it now. Obama is a weak sister and our enemies know it.
Epic Fail.
Bush spent half of the bailout money.
He required the money to be paid back.
He required the money to be paid back to taxpayers with interest.
The money has been paid back with interest.
That is fiscally conservative. The Democrats took control of Congress in January 2007 and deregulated Fannie Mae.
Obama added the “emergency” funding as a permanent part of the budget. His spending has no fiscally conservative components to it. No money ever has to be paid back.
It is ridiculous the conservatives and liberals agree to blame Bush.
Its absurd.
The bailout was NOT conservative. Bush got rolled by his Secretary of the Treasury and others in the Goldman/NY financial mafia.
And the auto bailout—which Bush IIRC attributed to wanted to please his successor—was still less conservative than that.
But I stand by my original statement, if Bush did anything under pressure from Obama that was Bush’s fault.
Yep.
And McIdiot halted his campaign to address the “crisis” while Obama continued his media-slobbering tour which continues to this day.
