The AFL-CIO has demonstrated again its penchant for forcing its members to support social causes...This time ...sex-change surgery and therapy.

“Even Johns-Hopkins University, which was kind of at the forefront of so-called ‘gender reassignment’ surgeries, they have stopped doing those surgeries,” he points out. “And their head of that department has come out against these kinds of horrible, cosmetic, genital-mutilation surgeries, which is exactly what we're talking about.”
Barber contends under the revised constitution, AFL-CIO members in non-right-to-work states will be compelled to support the union's policy or find another job.

One more example of why unions are imploding.
They’re like a whole self imposed branch of government that takes the member taxes and does as they please with them while ignoring the wishes of members.
I am absolutely certain that ObamaCare is going to have some panel deny Granny life saving cancer treatment, but then turn around and approve some “Lop, sew, and dope” sex reassignment program for a confused man that will cost just as much or more.
The AFL/CIO seem to select their officers similar to our Govt, Thugs and Charlatans.

Interesting. In the past I noticed that the most anti-homo people in the US were working men with no religious affiliation.
Truck drivers especially despise homos as they can’t even go to an interstate rest stop without being hassled by homos hanging around there.

This is becoming my standard reply to the “gender confused” discussions:
“How can an individual who is born male “identify” as a female? How would he know what it “feels like” to be female? He has never been female. He knows as much about “being female” as he knows how it “feels” to be a chimpanzee.”
The fact is that these individuals suffer from gender confusion, and need therapy - not surgery and hormone treatments.
Sadly, most find that the grass is not greener “on the other side”...
