KEARNEY Nebraskans for the Liberty Amendments will have an organizational meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24 in the Loup Room at Kearney Public Library at 2020 First Ave.
The group was started to find people to work together to get Nebraska to file an application for a Convention of States to reduce the jurisdiction and power of the federal government as outlined in the book The Liberty Amendments by Mark R. Levin.

The problem is that if we can't get the gov't to follow the constitution we have, how in God's good name does anyone believe they will follow any new amendments.
The more likely outcome is that the forces of liberalism will co-opt this process and pass something similar to the 1933 Enabling Act in Germany.
