Aaron Alexis, the 34-year-old suspect in Monday's shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard, had "secret" clearance and was assigned to start working there as a civilian contractor with a military-issued ID card, his firm's CEO told Reuters.
"He did have a secret clearance. And he did have a CAC (common access card)," said Thomas Hoshko, CEO of "The Experts," which was helping service the Navy, Marine Corps intranet as a subcontractor for a Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services contract.

Good point. Years ago before 911, my sis dated this brilliant Hindu tech man who worked for a gov. intel contractor and they even investigated my family during his security clearance. This whole story stinks!!

Oh I'm sure there are plenty of people asking. But, it has been suggested that his Buddhist. It does seem strange to me that a Buddhist would go around killing people. Simple research on the web confirms that under one of the basic tenets of that religion, your not supposed to kill. There is also a bad on the use of alcohol, but one of the pictures that I have seen posted shows him holding a bottle of Heineken.
We will probably never know what was in the mind of this evil guy. But, you can rest assured that over the next few weeks, the press will split hairs over the smallest details, all the while ignoring the giant mouse in the room.
