The Second Amendment is greatly responsible for America's continued freedom...that a few nuts from time to time do as this nut did, does not warrant stripping the Nation of it's rights to protect themselves.
Washington, D.C. has excessively heavy gun laws as does the Washington Navy Yard....no amount of law is going to stop someone intent on killing. If gun laws were successful, the killing each week in Chicago would abate don'tcha think? Gangs, Nuts, and criminals is the real problem.

If I am not mistaken, 100% of the mass shooters in the United States have been either left-wing Democrats, or come from left-wing environments (family). I grant you that they were all insane, and on brain medication -- but it is also interesting that these gunners came from ostensibly gun-hating Democrat families. So maybe we can reach a compromise: left-wing democrats should not possess firearms.
I include the United States qualifier, because that Norwegian whack job was a right-winger -- albeit one who was a 'solid' atheist. As such, I guess what he did was logical... (from a crazy atheistic point of view).
