Tungsten is denser than Steel or Lead, just more expensive.

The Lone Ranger used silver bullets, but silver is not as dense as led, and they wouldn’t penetrate as far. 11,340 (kg/m^3) for lead, 10,490 for silver.
Tungsten is 19,600, Copper is 8,930

Bismuith, also used for shot, is not as dense. A mix of Tungsten and Bismuth can be made to match lead’s density.

Wind farms kill 600,000 birds a year. How many are killed by lead?

Of course the 2nd Amendment should be applied through the 14th Amendment to limit the ability of the states to infringe upon citizens rights through the P and I clause.

Without the 14th Amendment, the 2nd Amendment would be applied against the state of California for US citizens who were not citizens of California via the P or I clause.

Call the revolution off.

The rebels aren’t allowed to use lead ammo.

Silver might be advantageous with the kinds of evil we are starting to see.

Rubber Band ammo is still legal but the guns are prohibited.

Just what the cops need to do, search vehicles coming into CA for lead ammo contraband.

And while they're distracted doing that, tons of it will be arriving by boat from Mexico and Canada. This ban will work as well as Prohibition and the ban on drugs.

I thought the way I understood it is that all these bills are already law. Brown can only stop by vetoing by Oct 15. If he does nothing, then they go into affect.  He doesn’t have to sign anything for it to become law.

“I think that this bill is being hyped as doing more than the language actually states.”

Yeah, progressives never progress. It isn’t like we were promised that seat belt laws would never be used as a primary reason for stopping drivers or anything.

I wonder if there are thieves on the borders of California ready to rush in like they did in Oklahoma in the late 1800’s.

Thousands stream in to rob and kill and stake their claim on a Californian’s property and life.

*Capitalism always win. Bring on the fragmenting composite ammo!*

I remember that they can make items out of ceramic that are about as hard as steel.

Would probably float past the metal detectors

The LONE RANGER used metalic silver, not the horse.

I saw a cheap movie once called FINGER ON THE TRIGGER.

Gold smuggling cavalry men were trying to get past the bad guys and Indians by casting the gold into horseshoes and putting them on the horses. When things got bad they pulled the shoes and cast them into cannon balls to blast the Indians.

***Legislation that would completely ban lead ammunition from the state of California is sitting on Governor Jerry Brown’s (D) desk,***

Don’t laugh! In the Revolutionary war at one fort, pewter was melted down into cannon balls. One was found several years ago, according to a treasure magazine I read.

I believe the FRENCH used a solid bronze bullet in one of their wars about 100 years ago. But then, expansion was not needed.

Cool, I did not know that, but it makes sense.
