I hope they shut the country down, perhaps a few will think about America’s future or lack thereof...
Good! Can we non-truckers help in any way?
They aren’t going to shut down America. You might get some owner operators to DC to raise hell locally but the vast majority of truck drivers are driving someone else’s truck and generally don’t see grand theft as a viable career choice.
It has to be Independents who are organizing, because the Union suck-ups-to-The-Messiah include ALL Union parasites/unproductives.
I can assure you of one thing.
These truckers, who have a lot of time on their minds while driving, don’t listen to POP music, they listen to conservative Talk radio.
Looks like we got a COVVOY!!!!!
” generally dont see grand theft as a viable career choice.
there is that small problem yes!
I don't see anything about this in their list of grievances above, so I'm not getting too excited about their mini-strike.
The transportation system really stepped in it when it started to favor trucks over trains for a large majority of movable commerce (all) The original vision was a truck and train marriage of sorts which saw train tracks going east to west and north to south and trucks taking the shipments for rides taking a day or less travel from the tracks. Low fuel prices were the initial culprit but track and train maintenance soon dug the train system’s grave. Now though, super efficient engines pulling hundreds of cars for mere pennies a mile has started a railways regrowth. It’s smart and the truckers continue on and don’t have to show their asses each year in DC.
The protest comes on the heels of a massive biker rally held in Washington D.C.,
You think 0 bummer will give a dam? I know the SRM will give little notice to this until the EBT card holders have no food or other essential items.
This would have to be done by independent truckers, and most of them have already been put out of business by high fuel costs and regulations. I am not sure there are enough of them left to make this work.
Just one of many unfavorable realities.
You can’t legally take a big rig into many places in DC now. The ticket costs alone would cause most to think better of it.
I suppose company drivers could have the trucker flu or something and stay where they are if they choose to participate but convoy somewhere/anywhere off their route is not going to happen- as you say it would be grand theft. Company drivers are not likely to get involved in any number that would be noticed.
First time my driver goes on strike, he’d be out of a job.
its going to take more than a few trucks to get obamas attention,,,,or whats left of it ...at this point.

You can’t smoke pot or drink beer in public in DC either.
But when there are a thousand people doing it peacefully, the police can’t and won’t stop you.
