Flint Mayor Dayne Walling will join survivors of gun violence, victims’ families, other politicians, law enforcement, gun owners and faith leaders in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, Sept. 19.
Walling will be there as a member of Mayors Against Illegal Guns during a news conference at 10:30 a.m. at the U.S. Capitol.
“We’re asking lawmakers to support common sense gun safety – including universal background checks,” Walling told The Flint Journal.
The “No More Names” tour has been in 25 states in the last 100 days, urging elected officials to reconsider bipartisan gun background check legislation that enjoys overwhelming public support – but that a minority of U.S. Senators blocked in April, a statement said.

Faith leaders wanting to disarm citizens? Faith is good to have when confronted by thugs trying to do harm to you. Having faith in the primer and powder charge going off and propelling the lead slug out the barrel is as far as I’d take it. The rest is aim and ability to drop the hammer.

The problem with anti-gun a**holes is that they face no consequences. Irrespective of the two successful recalls in Colorado, people like this jerk, Diane Swineslime, etc. have nothing to lose by pushing it. OTO if even one of their proposals passes we’ve lost something. I know what consequences I’d like them to face, but since that’s illegal, and would be ineffective unless widespread enough to get large numbers of them with many people participating, that remains just a passing thought. Still the thought of feinsten decorating a lamppost is a pleasant one.

Walling is just another idiot Democrap. He wants to initiate another gun free zone like Chicago so he can become the crime capital of the US. When are these morons gonna learn, it’s not the guns causing your problems it’s your thugs. Flint Michigan is broke. Walling is failing as mayor to bring jobs to his city so he needs a distraction, just like Obama always needs a distraction to cover up his inadequacies as a leader.
The police are probably guarding the politicians like Dang Walling.

You’re right about Flint, but you left out that it is the home port of Michael Moore. In better times it was also home to Buick and one of General Motor’s founders, Charles Stewart Mott.
I misread the headline. I was thinking there was a proposal to wall in D.C.

Of course he does. Let him strip everyone of weapons there. Just means that when the real patriots finally have had enough and march on Washington their job will be easier.
