That’s where the war is.
In 2010, more than 38,000 people killed themselves in the United States – and over 30,000 of them were men, Helen Smith, a forensic psychologist, points out in her book Men on Strike.
“How many of these men had decided to kill themselves because they could no longer see their children, had a broken relationship, or were involved in a bitter divorce?” she asks. “Ironically, even when you look at the suicide statistics, most concern seems to be about women who kill themselves. Apparently, our society cares so little about men that those who kill themselves are hardly news.”
It’s the problem of a culture that often treats men as if there is something inherently wrong with masculinity, with what makes them different from women — and looks to feminize them. Men who are less interested in marriage and responsibility are only being rational in that context, Smith argues. In the wake of the Navy Yard shootings on Monday, Smith talks about violent video games, and men in America, with National Review Online’s Kathryn Jean Lopez.

But what is a man to do when he does love and care for his wife and child the best he knows how, tries to maintain a Godly home, works hard to support his family, and after over 20 years together his wife leaves him for another man? And the other man is someone who could be classified as a bum, who mooches off society and the government.
Yeah, I thought of blowing my brains out, especially when she had me committed (for no reason) so she could raid the bank account.

Men — the new second class citizens

n November of last year, I wrote an article for Fox News called The War on Men (which I subsequently expanded to an eBook). To keep it pithy, in the piece I focused on one effect of this war: the lack of marriageable men. But there’s so much more to it. The truth is, men have become second-class citizens.
The most obvious proof is male bashing in the media. It is rampant and irrefutable. From sit-coms and commercials that portray dad as an idiot to biased news reports about the state of American men, males are pounced on left and right. And that’s just the beginning.
The war on men actually begins in grade school, where boys are at a distinct disadvantage. Not only are curriculums centered on girls’, rather than boys,’ interests, the emphasis in these grades is on sitting still at a desk.
Plus, many schools have eliminated recess. Such an environment is unhealthy for boys, for they are active by nature and need to run around. And when they can’t sit still teachers and administrators often wrongly attribute their restlessness to ADD or ADHD. The message is clear: boys are just unruly girls...

Emotional video makes case for marriage equality in Illinois

The pressure is on lawmakers to pass a same sex marriage act in Illinois. Advocates released an emotional video Thursday, which they hope will help the cause and make the case for marriage equality.
“Illinois Can’t Wait” tells the story of Chicago couple Robert Smith and his partner Steven Rynes. They hoped to get married in the state where they fell in love and made their life. But tragically, Rynes passed away last week.
Maybe if a woman writes the book it will be taken seriously?

And I am very glad for both of you. My comment was more about guys. Guys generally have access to more deadly tools than women, and women seem more inclined to do the “cry for help” suicide than guys. Guys mean it.

Recognizing that you are an indispensable element of God’s plan, having your own plan, and taking responsibility for your actions are what keep men from the abyss.
This is what separates men from, well, everything else.
There was a movie quote once that was funny and brutally honest all at once.
Woman: “Why is it you write women so well?”
Melvin: “I think of a man, then I take away reason and accountability.”
Some women bridle at this, and then I point out that only a gender that looks at their exclusive capability of creating a human life to be a debilitating liability requiring homicide as a mitigating right guaranteed by the constitution, as if the ability to give the child up for adoption never existed.
The progressive agenda is to undermine all traditional values/faiths through (mind)controlling the NEXT generation, and even though many of their followers know it to be wrong and eventually bad for a civil society, they go along with it(cutting off ones nose to spite ones face), as they've been convinced it's a victory against ..."those other folks"...and therefore THEIR victory.
When humans act against the rules/edicts of nature...more often than not, there are consequences(bad ones).
Rule For Radicals is the Bible for progressives...and has proven very effective.
Should have listened to Joe McCarthy and heeded his/others warnings...probably too late now.

We sent millions of our young men off to war in the 1940s. They saw their friends being blown apart. They saw the devastation of war. They came back somewhat disillusioned.. Then, along comes Hugh Heffner. He tells men, “This is the ideal woman”. She’s beautiful, takes her clothes off at the drop of a hat, and puts no anchors on you. The natural reaction to this was the feminist movement. The natural reaction to the feminist movement is this withdrawal of men. Fix the first problem....a distorted view of women.
Man... what can I say?!

My woman friend worked while her husband went to grad school and supported them both. A few years later, he comes home and says he is in love with his secretary and is leaving.
A few months later, he comes back and says he made a big mistake and wants to come back. She says no way. She is now happily married with 2 kids.
Horny men should be more discriminating and seek women who have the qualities they want in a wife. Unfortunately, they are often looking for one thing and deluding themselves about the qualities they want long term. I suppose the same is true of women.
