Two videos are posted at Twitchy and GSL in which Angela Giron continues to reinforce why she was recalled in a recent Colorado effort.
In an interview clip below, Giron blames the NRA for the Navy Yard shooting. Giron feels the NRA keeps trying to convince people—out of greed—that “more guns equals safety. And in this case in particular, we can look at, it was a Navy Yard. You couldn’t have any more armed people than in that case right there.”
Apparently Giron is unaware that the Navy Yard was a gun-free zone thanks to Bill Clinton. Additionally, GatewayPundit reported that the Capitol PD tactical response team was ordered to leave the scene instead of neutralize the shooter. Thus, the good guys with guns weren’t allowed to engage or shoot at the bad guy with a gun.

In a second clip below, Giron believes that background checks would have prevented Aaron Alexis from getting a gun. Uh, no Giron, it wouldn’t. USNews reported that the gunman gathered weapons along the way as he killed.

As was widely reported and tweeted Monday evening, Aaron Alexis bought his shotgun legally. By early yesterday afternoon (hours before Giron’s segment aired), various news outlets had reported that Alexis bought the firearm at Sharpshooters Small Arms Range in Lorton, Va., two days before the shooting. An attorney for the store told the media that “the store ran a federal background check on Alexis and it was approved.”

It takes a whole lot of ego to get up in front of people to pontificate on and on about a subject you have absolutely no personal knowledge of and then start proposing new laws. I'd say an unhealthy amount.

I’ve had a retired marine argue with me in a newspaper comments section that this proves guns can’t stop a murderous attacker, because military bases are awash with thousands of guns and ordnance.
While I appreciate the service of anyone in the “Navy’s Army”, sometimes it shows they’re just another swinging dick.
This guy is a regular in the comments section. Is an extreme liberal, shows uneven logic and thought patterns, and possible drug use. I just except him as an outlier, not-squared-away marine.

Seems Uncle Sam keeps close tabs on weapons and even ammo.

i think we must pounce on libs every time they use an example like this and equate law-abiding gun owners with people that have known mental problemsmwhomshoot a bunch of people. it’s offensive and the facts don’t support them smearing safe, trained, often more trained than the average cop - range time - and law-abiding gun owners, as the same kind of person who goes on a rampage.
the guy was a liberal. he was acting nutty for at least six weeks prior. they had noted he might have some security issues how he was acting. same as the shooter that shot giffords and others.
it’s offensve as hell to say he represents law-abiding gun owners, tens of millions who don’t do anything wrong, day after day, year after year.
Yes; there are tens of thousands of weapons on any military base on any given day. Problem is, they are all LOCKED UP IN THE ARMORY. Separated from the ammo I might add.
If this so called retired Marine doesn’t know that; he is either dumber than a box of rocks, or he served in a different Marine Corps than I did.
The only people on base with load outs for their weapons are the damn MP’s. Stupid idea; but that’s the way it was when I was in, 68-73.
By the way Marine is spelled with a capital M, not lower case.
And we were not the Navy’s army; we just used their ships for transport, senior service my ass.
I would take a battalion of Marines against a division of Army any day.
Well, at least I didn’t say “former Marine”.
