No Surrenders
National Review Online ^ | September 20, 2013 | Ramesh Ponnuru

Earlier this week, there were reports and commentary to the effect that the House Republican leadership had surrendered and fallen in with those conservatives who think that the continuing resolution to fund the government can be used to stop funding for Obamacare. Then there were claims that Senator Cruz had given up on fighting Obamacare in the Senate. Both of these perceptions were false, and they’re related.

Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor are just as convinced as ever that a partial government shutdown would not advance any conservative goal, and just as determined to avoid one. They have merely made a tactical retreat in that effort. They want to pass a continuing resolution that denies funding to Obamacare, thus demonstrating that it’s the outcome House Republicans favor.

The House now passed a CR wo funding Obama-care now its time for Cruz, Lee, Rubio, Paul,...~ 16 of them to pick up the ball and not allow a CR funding Obama-care to get passed out of the Senate.

They need to Shutdown Reid’s Senate until Reid passes the House Defund bill to go to Obama, and don’t pass a Senate Ocare funded CR bill back to House then continue lecturing them, because such a surrender in Senate will result in Obama-care funded.

STOP IT IN SENATE NOW!

Watch it when they go to conference and then vote on the conference report. All sorts if shenanigans well happen then. Never trust the RINO bastards. Never give in. Never quit.

I am not sure how conference comes into the picture here. I just heard Cruz on Levin and he said if it comes back to the House, he hopes the house will pass another CR funding just the military, but again defunding Obamacare.

Ted Cruz on Cavuto today said that it depends on Harry Reid.
If it goes back to the House, they should send to the senate separate continuing resolutions for the portions of government they want to fund - the military for example would be funded by a separate continuing resolution.

Obamacare will stand. The best, most embarrassing way to win this political fight and take the Congress in 2014 is suspension. Suspend Obamacare and send that bill to the Senate and Obama. Let them keep it in place.

We need to be Solomons in this case.

Appreciate your thoughts. The intention of posting the video was to share what was on Cavuto. We don’t know where it is going, but this is where we are at the moment. It is good to see people taking a stand and unite against the evil.

Yep, my point is that Obamacare is a symptom of a much larger problem. Keep in mind that a significant portion of the public doesn’t like Obamacare only because it isn’t performing as promised.

They still want their free healthcare and other government goodies, but without the pain. We need to let them feel the pain for a goodly while, right up until election day 2014.

Once we have a veto-proof House and Senate, then we’ll be cooking with gas. The great thing about Obamacare is once it has ruined things the only solution will be the free market.
