President Barack Obama, fresh from having his lunch money taken from him by Russia's Vladimir Putin, is flailing about trying to find someone he can shift the public's attention to. He has chosen House Speaker John Boehner (R-Oh) as the person and the upcoming end of the U.S. government's fiscal year on September 30 as his verbal weapon. I think that is the wrong fight against the wrong guy.

I think I see how this ends: Ubama and the rats will agree to “delay” implementation for everybody else the way they already delayed it for big corporations and other special interests. See, this way, everybody “wins”. The Republicans get to pat themselves on the back and claim they brought (the lame duck, so who cares?) Ubama to his knees, and the rats get off the hook from having to defend Mengelecare leading up to the 2014 elections (that is, the next year won’t be daily headlines full of Mengelecare implementation nightmares). I swear, this is the outcome both sides want.
Obama can't hope to duplicate the chessboard as it was in 1995-96. I said after the shutdown in 1996 that a skilled White House, aggressively on message is an unstoppable political force in America.
Obama's White House is not skilled (as he proved to the world over the past three weeks), and it has no message to stick to at all.
And finally he doesn't have Newt Gingrich, who was Bill Clinton's strongest weapon.
I agree with all of this. But will we avoid the Gingrich fate. I personally doubt it. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. I say go for it. Shut 'em down.

Yes. Tho it’s not a popular opinion here. Obama still owns the media. They’ll make up stories if little old ladies eating cat food,soldiers in Afghanistan without food or ammo.....blind kids being thrown on streets. By the time their finished we’ll be saying Speaker Pelosi again. I think Obamacare is such a wreck ...hell let them implement it. When it collapses we can blame it on the dims. I was talking about the situation when it was Clinton and Newt.
In this battle, although we have nearly all of the conventional media cheer leading for Obozo and actively trying to destroy our standard bearers, we have a much better chance.
IMO, our biggest weakness is the GOPe (Mitch McConnell et al) sabotaging us and selling us out. We are fighting a war on two fronts. We need folks willing to put their political careers on the line and go for all the marbles. Most of these guys, you throw down the gauntlet and they pee their pants.
My rep Brett Guthrie is IMO a “moderate” who constantly calls himself a conservative. Good at giving “no answer” answers.
I fear the GOP leadership will be content to be the eunuchs in Emperor Obama’s court and will cave on this impasse.
House must pass a CR that includes commiecare.
Everytime that degenrate cook Reid sends to the House a reconciled CR that has commiecare in it, it can be voted down again.
Tea Party GOP can play this game all the way to election day. Pass seperate bills to keep certain parts open , or go on vacation for all we care.

We can blame all we like. The collapse will bring on single payer government run HC. They are destroying private sector insurance, there will be no insurance structure to fall back on.
I think that ObamaCare has already caused so much damage, that we are almost at the tipping point now where there is no going back.
In any case, a united GOP could win this, but there are a lot of traitors in the ranks and leadership. A traitor is worse than the enemy.
